Hey, all. Some changes were made this evening to some mechanics and I wanted to post the run down here. These are pretty big changes to the system, so please make sure you read them well and understand them.
All of these are effective AS OF NOW in any threads created as of this moment.
Special Attack Revamp: As discussed, we have revamped special attacks altogether. They will no longer increase dice sides, instead they will boost overall damage by a certain percentage. The percentage is based on whether it is a Super or Ultimate Attack, or if it is a bought Special or one learned via a school or one earned via an exclusive position. Follow the links below to learn more.
Charging Attacks: Attacks that are charged have been changed as well. They will still cost a turn and 1 GP to use (an additional 1 GP for Special Attacks), however they will increase the overall damage roll in similar fashion to Special Attacks. A charged attack will increase a damage roll by +10%, this 10% is added to the percentage increase of a Special Attack, i.e. a charged Super would be +35% instead of +25% and cost 2 GP when used instead of 1 GP. Read about them specifically in the Fighting with Dice section in the Mechanics board.
Demon Traits Adjustment: Two Demon traits have been adjusted. 1.) the Conjurer trait has changed to reflect the new Equipment mechanics. Read up on them in the Demon section, or the Hybrids and Bio Androids pages if you have any characters with Demon genetics that fall into those two groups. They are able to change out their Equipment on the fly during a match, meaning if they have more than one piece of offensive equipment they can switch from one to the other. However, there is a 2 round cool down for this, meaning they can change their equipment again on their third attacking round since the previous change. Also, any EXP or Zeni boosting equipment cannot be swapped INTO during a match. They can be SWAPPED OUT mid-match if they are equipped at the beginning, but cannot be swapped back in. 2.) The "Death is Temporary" trait has been renamed to "Unholy Soul." All Demon characters are sent to Hell automatically upon death, whether they are inherently "good" or not, but their TP gains are increased by 30%. Demons CAN make it into Heaven on rare occasions and on recommendations from the highest tiers of gods.
That is all for now on this quick update. More to come in the pipeline including what I promised everyone a while ago. Mechanics for the Fusion Dance and Potara Fusion.
Until then, HAPPY ROLLING.
