Hey, all -
It has been about 2 months since our last batch of updates to the site. It's been no surprise to anyone that I've been super busy, but ya'll have been awesome with keeping activity going without me around much. On a personal note, I am hoping a lot of my own issues with time management change soon, but in the meantime I will continue to keep things rolling as best as I can.
Now, just because I haven't had much time to post does not mean that I have not been working on things for the site in the background. Quite the contrary. Some things have been currently updated, with more in the pipeline, once the new DB Super Movie hits world wide theaters in mid-January, as to avoid any possible spoilers.
First update has to do with special attacks for Exclusive Positions. Instead of being buffed up Supers that can be updated to Ultimates, they will all be strictly buffed up Ultimates. This means they are given to the player at max power already, and cannot be upgraded in any way. However, if the position is lost the attack is lost completely, unlike previously where a regular version of the attack is given to the person who comes out of power. This is done mostly to prevent people from wanting a position just to get a freebie special attack, as well as giving some more incentive to being in a position of power. You can read all about the changes here. Nothing in the School Techniques portion of the section was adjusted.
Next batch of updates comes to the EXP Gaining for Matches portion of the rules. Everything has been bumped up as of today. Any threads currently going on will fall under these rules, unfortunately any threads currently graded with the previous rules will remain as such. You can read up on the new formulas here.
We will be having a short, holiday inspired event that will run through December 31st, 2018 to commemorate the end of the year and the holiday season. All members who answer the roll call will be given some EXP, Zeni, as well as a few holiday inspired goodies.
Also, to end things here I wanted to include a poll. As we are heading into a new year, and our numbers are growing, I wanted to see what people thought about adjusting the Social Points, or SP, formula in the form of HOW SP is gained.
Currently we only gain SP in between init rolls, meaning the entire dice match itself is not counted towards SP. This is to avoid lots of word padding, fluff and overall unfavorable situations in terms of trying to power game.
However, if enough people feel like there are not enough gains to be had, perhaps it is time to change and include SP gains for an entire thread, dice battle and all. As of now, this will not move to change any of the exchange rates or anything else that has to do with SP, but it could in the future. It could possibly be completely reverted back to the old way if it was abused too much as well.
I have my own feelings towards it, BUT I will leave it up to a site vote. If you are going to vote either way, then please make a post as to why you feel one way or the other. A healthy discussion, without anyone getting angry at one another please, will go a long way to help your fellow member understand your point of view.
Until then, HAPPY ROLLING!
And Happy Holidays.
