But Dian Xin was not done yet. He still had plenty of momentum in him, and he was not going to let this man off so easy yet, not while Dian Xin felt he had an opportunity to strike further.
Regardless of how the assassin took his first blow, Dian Xin would suddenly free one of his hands from the hilt of his sword and aim it upward at the man's face. For a moment, pale, yellow ki would glow in the palm of his hand before exploding like a flash in the pan: a simple ki blast being shot right at the man's face!
Huffing, Dian Xin's mind buzzed as he waited for the next attack in the flow of battle.

His opponent seemed a tad angered, maybe even frustrated, after the last landed blows. It seemed Onigiri was beginning to work his nerves. While he didn't let it show, his heightened control of his Qi gave way also to a heightened ability to sense it; and the more blows he exchanged with this swordsman, the more outlandish his foe's signature seemed. Onigiri knew what a human's reading should feel like, but this? It felt...malevolent, almost. Tainted, perhaps. He would choose to keep himself quiet, but with the way this fight had been turning out he knew he was outclassed. Noting his foe had been using the back of his blade this entire time made the older man wonder if he'd wind up in a jail cell or something equally silly. He'd humor his jailers for a little while before making his escape either way. He was thinking of the future in the middle of this fight; in terms of speed and power, he was being soundly beaten. Logically, he wasn't seeing any way out but defeat; but that wasn't going to stop him from fighting. His foe sprang forward with a rotating strike, and he braced up his arms to soak it as best he could. Instead, with a surprising amount of agility, the swordsman whirled in the opposite direction and sank the back of that blade right into the side of his leg, causing the assassin's stance to crumble as he stumbled low to recover himself and covered the area to hopefully protect it against another attack. Before he could recover, he watched as the young man's palm went alight with yellow energy, loosing a blast straight at his head! Taking the damage full contact, his head whipped back as he growled, sending him to the ground dizzied. Scrambling to get back to his feet, he wobbled slightly as he attempted to right himself from the potent combination he'd just suffered. Choosing to stay silent and not waste his words, he began to swirl his Qi into both of his arms, snaking the energy down into his palms. His aura flaring up, he would swipe both arms upward from his waist as if to fling something at the swordsman, one after the other; the movements would summon two fang-shaped torrents of energy that raced across the ground right for his foe. Dashing in behind them quickly, he would hope they would at least occupy his defenses as he rushed in behind them, attempting to land a heavy chop to the throat!

Gonna go ahead and skip since I leave for vacation soon!
The Human's loosed energy didn't seem to cause much harm, but it wasn't what the pair of energy waves were for anyhow. They served well as a distraction, allowing Onigiri to close in and land a crushing chop to the swordsman's neck. Seeing a moment of opportunity, he would in-step to close distance to his preferred range of fighting, likely at a close enough space to make that weapon of his opponent's more of a chore to use than his bare hands. Lashing his fists out in hard punches one after the other, he would target his foe's solar plexus and then his abdomen, looking to sink the blows in deeply and keep him off-balance. To finish off the combination, he would hook his fingers into his foe's left side and rake towards himself and then away, tearing at the flesh beneath; while the superficial skin would look largely unharmed, the assassin was looking to cripple what was hidden beneath it. Now that he was beginning to lose his sense of restraint, he wondered how he was going to escape this situation. His foe had shown themselves to be quite a fighter, especially when it came to wielding that blade. His current strength just wasn't going to be enough; facts were facts. If he could salvage a victory from the jaws of defeat, he had a lot of training to do in the days ahead to bring himself to match this young man before their paths crossed again. Something deep within his soul told him there was more to this red-headed youngster than what met the eye. He couldn't quite discern what that meant, exactly. He knew if this battle ended in defeat, he was likely to end up in a jail cell. This would-be hero rubbed him the wrong way. Onigiri hated his type. It was time to teach him about the error he made in not minding his own business!

Second Skip
Onigiri's one-two punch combination attack struck with impressive force, his fists wreathing themselves in ghostly white Qi as they sailed in and made their impact. Causing Dian to stumble once more, he would use his signature Chi Kiba Ken style to rake at the young man's flank, and then quickly take a step forward to further close distance. Extending his puncturing fingers, he would sneer and narrow his eyes before launching another assault. His hands would alternate in thrusting forward in a high-speed blur, his fingers jabbing and stabbing up and down the swordsman's torso. He wouldn't use lethal force; he was looking to take the non-lethal route, the swordsman having piqued his interest from their short exchanges of words. Looking to bruise and cripple what was beneath the skin, his furious storm of attacks would continue until he rotated on one foot to gather force, then continued the spin into a double palm strike with hooked fingers. After the contact was made, he would tear those fingers away to cause further damage before the disengagement from the resulting knock-back. Returning to a relaxed and defensive posture, he would take a quick note to try and read his foe's Qi. The tainted signature seemed to be dropping in potency; Onigiri was beginning to wear him down. If he could follow through with one more assault, he may have been able to turn this battle around! Was his foe losing his nerve? Was his will to fight waning? Onigiri wasn't sure what exactly was going on, but he would press any advantage he could claim.

Third Skip: Auto-Forfeit
The combination attack found connection without much trouble or resistance. Having knocked his aggressor away from him, it was beginning to seem that he'd held his own long enough for the would-be hero to shirk from his actions, and possibly decide better of the situation. Perhaps he had changed his mind, finally agreeing that it was best to have not gotten involved in the first place? For a fair degree of time his opponent had opted not to fight back. Onigiri had taken it as a form of surrender. Dropping his combat posture, he would lightly dust himself off and give some slight attention to his bruises, taking note of their locations. Relaxing his posture, he would look sternly to the young swordsman. He'd made a wise choice. ''It seems you have regained your sense. This didn't involve you, stranger. It never needed to. You are a skilled fighter, however. I have a feeling our paths will cross again.'' He would leave the young swordsman to his own devices, whatever they may have been before deciding to try and be a big hero. Taking his leave through a connecting alley, he would begin making his way back to his hideout to collect his earnings. He was a little worse for wear, but he'd managed to evade capture and defeat. He wondered what exactly it was that caused the swordsman to decide better of trying to fight, but maybe he would learn the answer to that when they met once more.
Finished! I'd also like to a burn a 2x Gains Token, please. Retasu
