Beefa had made her intentions clear - she intends to betray King Pars in a foolish, self serving attempt to take over the planet. Lottus glares hatefully at the hybrid as she stubbornly declares her deluded self importance. Rapini, it seemed, had come to the same conclusion.
"Lottus... what should we do?" Rapini asks, stepping up beside his as Beefa leaves. At first, Lottus doesn't reply. He glares after Beefa, his mind swimming with possible ideas.
"We have a few options." Lottus replies, turning to look at Rapini. "None of them are good. Three will get us branded as traitors..."
Rapini seems to take the hint, and furrows her brow.
"However, Beefa is unstable - she's more of a danger to herself and to everyone else than either King Pars or King Retasu. She has to be stopped - someone like her can't be allowed to rule." Lottus continues. "If she did come to rule... I'd sooner leave Daikondu, than allow myself to be subservient to that crazy hybrid."
"She's not bad when she thinks things are going her way." Rapini tells Lottus. "But yeah... as soon as something works against what she wants, she freaks out. She'll cause more harm than good. Should we alert King Pars that Beefa's planning to betray him?"
Lottus crosses his arms, pondering that question. After a few moments, Lottus shakes his head.
"King Pars is a detached individual. He didn't care about our own warriors being killed by Beefa's careless attacks." Lottus replies. "Even if we did tell him, I doubt he'd take us seriously. So... our options are to kill Beefa ourselves... or we go and warn King Retasu that she's planning to come after him."
Rapini looks shocked at Lottus' suggestion.
"You can't be serious..!" Rapini replies in disbelief. "That guy beat the crap out of you! Why would he be any more likely to believe us than King Pars?!"
Lottus looks at Rapini, clearly in distress.
"The only other options we would have, is to let things play out - or leave Daikondu. And fighting Beefa isn't realistic right now... I am still not fully recovered from my battle with King Retasu." Lottus tells her. "Whatever we do... we'll have to do it quickly."
And with that, this thread is finished! Good thread, Beefa. Let's see how things unfold next!
