The sky had grown dark by now, the world around him shrouded in shadows. Of course this would have been a problem had the full moon been out. If there was one thing that the warrior known as the Ice Dragon knew it was that you didn't want to tangle with a Saiya-jin warrior on the night of a Full Moon. This had to be especially true with his current destination, a destination most would have called him insane for even treading close to.
His red eyes slowly moved over the landscape as he drew close to the structure and hovered there, his cloak now billowing up around him as the wind picked up. This could have been a terrible omen...it was pitch black. The black wind was angry that night as he slowly descended toward the ground, landing in a patch of swaying grass. This must be the place, it has to be. This is a very dangerous venture, I know...but I almost beat that old Saiya-jin...I came so close, yet somehow he pulled through. I cannot allow this loss to go unanswered, unavenged. I have to know...can I defeat him?
The breeze blew the arcosian's hood backwards as he walked down the cobblestone road, nearing the outer gate of the Saiya-jin Palace. As he moved ever closer to the palace, his expression didn't change in the least bit. Perhaps his fearlessness was stupidity or pride, but either way he had it set in his mind that he would find the Saiya-jin. He would beat him.
Stopping before the gates, his eyes focused on the two guards there. He knew full well what result could and very well would come of this if he handled this the wrong way. His tail remained relaxed behind him, feeling the eyes of the guards upon him as he bowed at the waist, one arm across his midsection and the other behind the small of his back. "Good evening, Saiya-jins. I am the warrior known as Absol Zeroth, third son of Negat Zeroth. I've come to check on a recent sparring partner of mine, Tartus. I wish to see him, if you would be so kind as to step aside. I mean no harm to you or your kingdom."
In some ways, this had been a lie. But the Arcosian spoke so smoothly, so slyly that noone would be able to tell the difference. One thing being part of a rich family had taught him was diplomacy and that was a skill he would put into practice here.
The two guards were huge compared to the two hundred year old Arcosian, who stood a mere four foot eleven inches tall. Without a scouter, this warrior wouldn't appear to be much but with a scouter...they would know he was just as powerful than the two low class guards. The guard on the left, a female, looked at Zeroth with a smirk. "You must be kiddin' small fry. You seriously expect us to just let you set foot on the Lord's grounds?" She chuckled, elbowing the larger male next to here in the ribs. "This guy's a laugh riot, ain't 'e, Tomata?"
The larger male laughed heartily. "Aye, that 'e is, Pumpkina! I can't believe a small fry like this would even think to try and come onto our turf an' make demands! That's a laugh!"
Zeroth's cordial smile under the mask would slowly fade as the two would laugh at him, but he knew he'd need to keep his cool. He needed to not attract any unwanted attention from the whole royal guard force. "Ha ha. Yes. Very amusing to you, I am sure. But you see, this is no joke to me. I wish to see the warrior you call Tartus...that is all. I mean no harm. It is...business."
The female would regard the Arcosian with great scrutiny. He seemed hell bent in his current goal, and on one hand? She had to respect his candor. But she suddenly shook her head, refusing the warrior entrance into the royal grounds. "Get lost, lizard. You've no business here at the Palace. Besides, if you want to find that alcoholic, just yell "beer". He'll come runnin'."
Zeroth exhaled slowly, a light drizzle beginning to pelt the ground as the sky began to cry it's mournful cry. Thunder rumbled throughout the thick, pitch black clouds as light broke through for a split second. "Sounds to me like you've not a lot of respect for this man. I am going to ask you once more..." he sneered under the mask of his armor, blood red eyes narrowed, lightning causing them to flash. "...let me through. I refuse to accept 'no' for an answer."
The large male saiya-jin was a mountainous boulder of a man, with long black hair that spread out wildly behind him like the leaves of a large coconut tree. Now, he looked down at the Ice Dragon of Gokkano, who craned his neck to look up at the Saiya-jin. "We said no. Now be gone, pipsqueak!"
The warrior drew back his fist and thrust forward at the Arcosian, but found himself in for a rude awakening as Zeroth's crimson aura flared outward, his three gingered hand holding the Saiya-jin's fist as he floated upward to meet the warrior eye to eye. "...I told you what I want, and if you know my people, then you know that it isn't very often that we don't get what we want. Now I'm going..." he gritted his teeth. "...to say this again. Let. Me. Pass."
His left shoulder...that same damned shoulder. As he held the Saiya-jin's punch at bay, he could feel the joint beginning to ache once more and his arm beginning to tremble. He couldn't let these Saiya-jin know the extent of pain he was beginning to feel though, he had to hold it back. He steeled himself and shoved the warrior backwards, the gigantic Saiya-jin's back striking the gate...it was now that he saw the cracks forming in the large gate.
Pumpkina stepped forward with a low growl, the feral Saiyaness staring at the Ice Dragon. "You're gonna regret that, ya dumb Arcosi-"
His hands clasped behind his back, the Arcosian's long tail would fly around his body a's he turned himself sideways and smacked the woman in the midsection, sending her to her knees. Staring at the Saiyaness, he spoke calmly now. "I've no intention of killing either of you, I just want through the gate. It was your partner's own doing which brought him pain, and by association, you as well. Now, of you will excuse me..."
The Ice Dragon Zeroth looked the door over, the small crack not quite big enough for him to step through. He was small in this suppressed form of his, but he needed a bigger crack to step through, and he moved forward to place his hand on the gate. I will have what I want. One way or the other. But perhaps I should remain diplomatic. After all, I've no quarrel with these Saiya-Jin as a whole.
"Stop! Take yer hand off that door, NOW!" He heard the deep, yet feminine voice from behind him.
Zeroth simply dropped his arm to his side and looked over his shoulder at the female Saiya-jin, who now stood on her feet. Though she staggered slightly, he knew these warriors to be quite dangerous. Tartus had proven that to him. He looked at the male, still unconcious...at least he didn't have to deal with him. He stared the female down. "The intelligent thing to do would be to stand down, but I suppose that would be too much to ask, wouldn't it? It's over. Just admit your defeat."
The Saiyaness growled and her aura did flare at that very moment, every muscle in her body tensing. Zeroth narrowed his eyes, his own flaming crimson aura growing and he flew forward to meet the Saiyaness mid ground. The two would exchange a lightning quick flurry of punches and kicks, explosions joining the lightning in the air as they did battle.
She kicked him backwards and threw off a white ki blast, the energy ball jetting toward Zeroth at top speed, the Arcosian smirking under his mouthpiece. With the speed and grace only seen in his species, he twisted his body in midair and batted the blast back at the Saiyaness.
"What?! No!" The woman cried out in pain as the blast hit her smack in the solar plexus, sending her into the huge door. Zeroth needed and opening and he sure as heck found it now.
Zeroth dropped his cloak as the rain pelted down upon the Arcosian who calmly made his way past the two unconcious Saiya-jins. He looked forward, then back and the two...he shrugged...then disappeared into the Palace courtyard.
