[ 3d26 -- 100 EXP -- 500 PL ]
The alert he received on his scouter forced him to break his meeting unexpectedly with Tartus. It seemed that someone, or something, had disbanded two guards at the Imperial Tower's front gate with relative ease. Could it be the same being that Tartus was telling him about? In a flash he had left the bar, making haste in the air back towards his base of operations in the "Capital City." A bright blue aura surged around him, whipping about his hair in all directions. What this creature was it had guts, to strike not only one of his soldiers, but not the place where he called home, where the remaining members of his family rested. Perhaps this really was something being carried about by the Southern Empire after all? Had they gotten help from Offworlders?
In a manner of moments, the King in the North would arrive, lowering himself down onto the ground quickly on white, Saiyajin style boots. His aura dispersed around him, as he broke off into a run to the front gates. Both guards were being attended to, while another small group inspected the gate, one turning to face the King and holding his hands out to stop him. "Sire, please. Whatever it is, we think its still in th--" Retasu would forcefully move past the guard, throwing his shoulder into the man's own with a grunt. "Good. I'm hoping it still is." Eventually, he'd make his way into the courtyard, past the broken down gate.
The young King stood there, garbed in that glossy white and gold vest-styled battle armor and blue bodysuit, white gloves on his hands up to his forearm. He'd let those charcoal eyes scan about the area a bit, one eye covered still by the lens of a scouter, doing what he could to pick up any higher than normal power level signatures in the area. "I know you're in here, whatever you are. Show yourself, now!" There was definite anger in his voice, determined to snuff out whatever this creature was come hell or high water.

[3d37 - 539EXP - 2,695PL] The blaring alarm would be something the Arcosian Elite would find quite unplesant. In all honesty, with all of the fanfare surrounding his unespecter arrival had been met with less resistance than he'd originally anticipated. He was almost bored as his eyes would move over the destroyed courtyard of that palace. How dissappointing must it have been for him to see the Saiya-jin Empire in such ruin? His eyes narrowed into slits as he stood there, his ears aching from the annoying alarm. Little did Zeroth know, there would be something far more annoying to confront him, at least in his opinion.
His red globes would lock onto Retasu as the King himself would descend upon the ruined courtyard. Those cold, fearless eyes would not change as he observed the Saiya-jin who now confronted him, his four-feet-five-inch frame standing strong with his arms clasped behind his back. He'd left himself defenseless, a sign that showed that he paid Noone any mind, not even the King. Though he had no idea that Retasu was the King, he still regarded the armor the Saiya-jin was wearing. He knew that not just any lower class wore armor like that, his own armor a mirror except without the pants and of a black and silver color scheme.
He stepped out of the shadows, his tail swaying behind him like a cat ready to pounce. He smirked. "You need not fear me hiding myself, ape. Hrm...that armor...you can't be a simple lower class like the other one, now can you? Not like..." he sneered, remembering the Saiya-jin who was lucky enough to defeat him. "...the other stinky monkey. So who...and what are you?"

His own ears would perk slightly at the sound of the voice, letting his head move in that direction. Turning fully now, he'd see the form of a diminutive looking creature. Could this be what Tartus was telling him about? He regarded the being carefully, bringing his hand up to his scouter, a gloved finger pushing a button in order for the machine to do its job. As the lens over his eye worked out the numbers, Retasu would nearly gasp at what he was presented with. A battle power of almost 2,700 units. This had to be the creature that had encountered Tartus, and by his smug tone Retasu would guess right. "I'd watch your mouth, Offworlder. You're on a planet full of "monkeys" as you call us." Though this being trumped him in power, Retasu kept a cool exterior. As the Arcosian offered him no defense, Retasu would do the same. Powerful arms crossed over his armored chest, not looking all too pleased with the entire situation.
He didn't intend to give his identity up, yet. He still had his suspicions. Perhaps the Southern Empire really was recruiting aliens to do their dirty work for them? This one proved to be strong, stronger than Retasu had anticipated. From the way the Arcosian spoke, it was as if he had an idea as to Retasu's status compared to that of the "other monkey" Tartus, definitely two distinguishable versions of the same armor. "I'm a Saiyajin, that's all you need to know for now. And from where I'm standing you're in no position to be asking the questions or making demands. I'm not going to ask how you got in here. I think we both know the answer to that. I'm more interested as to what you want, and how fast you'll leave once I tell you that you can't have it." Retasu could only assume by the aggressive nature in which this being forced himself within his grounds that he was not here to discuss peace treaties and negotiations of any sort. He would rather get directly to the point as quickly as possible.

For someone his size, Zeroth certainly showed no signs of backing down from the Saiya-jin King of the North. To him, Retasu was simply a monkey like any of the others only he appeared to be of a higher class than the one known as Tartus. His eyes were fixated on Retasu, whom he did not consider a threar as Zeroth wouldn't wear a scouter. He could sense that for all of the warrior's false bravado, he was just as weak as the Majin he had faced. He narrowed those gleaming red eyes as a thought crossed his mind. Had this warrior learned to suppress his power as the Majin had? His tail swished back and forth as he non-chalantly closed the distance between Retasu and he. "I must say, this Saiya-jin Army is quite lacking. I would have expected a bigger, better welcoming party for a warrior of my caliber."He stopped at about five feet away from the King, unaware of his position. Folding his arms across his chest, he would introduce himself plainly. "My name is Zeroth, monkey. You'd do well to remember that, in fact, it may be hazardous to your health if you do not." He shifted from left to right, as if trying to see past the Saiya-jin who stood in front of him...then spoke with a sharp tongue. "Move, chimp. I've got better things to do than stand here conversing with you."

The arrogance displayed by this creature was getting under Retasu's skin, and it was doing so quickly. He wasn't telling a lie, though. The military presence on this planet was abysmal, but the civil war could be blamed for that. "I've already told you before, watch your mouth, creature." Retasu knew this being's strength, the scouter reading was one that he trusted. He was also betting that this was exactly what Tartus came across, given everything the Arcosian had said. "If you're looking for Tartus you did a number on him. I heard he had beaten you, but you seem to be in better shape. Good for you." He'd lower his arms from being crossed against his armored chest, adjusting his gloves out of habit, which is what he typically did before every battle. He had a feeling it would come to this.
"Perhaps you're looking for retribution, or you're looking to die. Either way, you won't be dealing with Tartus anymore. You'll have the honor of fighting me." He'd smirk a bit, turning his back to the creature. "But not here. If it's a fight you want then follow me. I'd advise this isn't the safest place for you if I leave you here alone." Retasu's feet would come off the ground, floating several inches. He'd look away from the Arcosian, hopefully he'd take his invitation and follow him. Without much else, Retasu would erupt in an aura of bright blue energy, rocketing off into the sky. The heat trail he left would be enough for Zeroth to follow him, should he choose to, towards the Central Wastelands of Planet Daikondu.

The creature's suspicions were true. Though he couldn't help but wonder what had happened to the mighty Saiya-jin Army, he could read slight signals in Retasu's body language. Something bad had happened, and this Saiya-jin who stood before him was alone. He could simply just kill Retasu here and now, without a fight, but there would be no honor in that. Plus, he assumed that Retasu wasn't the Legendary Super Saiya-jin he'd been seeking. Still, he thought that the warrior may prove to be a challenge for his burgeoning skills so he would choose to fight him, one on one. The suggestion made by the Saiya-jin had initially caught Zeroth by surprise. He'd thought that the warrior would have fought him right then and there, knowing what he knew about Saiya-jins. Was this one the odd one of the bunch? Zeroth shook his head, pushing the thought of of his mind. He'd nod at Retasu in agreeance. "If you insist, Saiya-jin." He said, pronouncing the species' name perfectly. The arcosian was well schooled in Galactic knowledge, after all. His feet would leave the ground and he'd give chase to Retasu, following the Saiya-jin across the red skies of Daikondu, finally catching up to fly side by side. "Where are we going?" He'd ask, his curiosity piqued by now.

The creature was following. Good. Retasu would rather not have a fight break out near his own palace, especially with this things apparent power. As Zeroth began to fly side by side with the young King, he'd throw a question out to which Retasu would answer promptly. "Away from my Imperial Tower. I'm annoyed you got passed the guards, but I'm assuming if you wanted to obliterate everything there you would have done so already." He'd keep looking straight out, as they left the northern boundaries and edged into the central wastelands. "Or perhaps you were just waiting for me to return there." He remained quiet, perhaps Zeroth would watch on to the clues Retasu was giving, perhaps not. Eventually, Retasu would settle on a spot, looking over at Zeroth and pointing a gloved finger downwards. Shortly after giving direction, Retasu's flight pattern would change to fast descent, until his feet made impact with the near dead earth under him.
He'd wait for Zeroth to do the same, eventually crossing his arms over his armored chest as he glared across at the being. The winds howled, tossing up dust and debris in the once lush central wastelands of Daikondu. "I'll ask you again now. Who are you, and what do you want?" He knew this would end up in a fight, and he was ready for it. Judging by how Tartus made it out, though, and the drastic difference in their power the young King knew it would be the fight of his life. "I'm assuming you're the one who Tartus came across, as you never answered. You're strong. Tell me, did Tartus owe you drinking money? Or are you just not a fan of my kind? Either way, I expect an answer out of you, as the true ruler of this planet." In case the Arcosian didn't catch on before, Retasu was revealing his true self to him. "My name is Retasu, and I lay claim to the Northern Sector of Daikondu and by blood I am Daikondu's rightful King. Did the South send you? Are you working for them?" He'd almost snarl at that. "Know this, whether you choose to answer me or not I will find out either way."

He kept up quite well with the young King, his power maintaining a steady pace. Retasu would be able to feel the arcosian holding his energy at the level that he'd originally sensed. But the thing was...Zeroth knew what he was capable of. He knew that his power could be boosted in a matter of seconds, but he hasn't quite unlocked that skill. He knew of his people's ability to change form, yet it was almost as if this skill had been erased from his mind...almost as if it had been locked. The mysterious past of Zeroth often haunted him, even at the most inopportune time, so when Retasu broke his train of thought with his answer, he shook his head. "Your Imperial Tower? As if you were the emperor of this planet or something. But no...your guards were no match for me. Perhaps you should send them back to whatever academy they came from?" He chuckled dryly, making a little joke. The Arcosian was rightfully confident.
The near dead Earth beneath his three toed feet felt warm as the blazing sun now broke through the clouds and he stood twenty feet from the Saiya-jin warrior. He drew his arms up to his chest, tail swaying behind him as he was introduced to the King. He answered plainly. "My name is Absol Zeroth, son of Nagat Zeroth. Your assumptions about me are quite incorrect, "your highness". I've no allegiance to anyone to be perfectly honest, especially not the "south" as you call it." He arched an eyebrow. "Why do you ask? Is the south an enemy of yours? Because I simply wish to fight...and grow stronger..." his lips curled upwards. "...and one day realize my dream of fighting the legendary warrior."

This... Absol Zeroth was quite the disrespectful creature, it made Retasu's lip curl upwards into a visible snarl. He listened to the being speak, noting his desire to fight the "legendary warrior" whoever that was. Retasu didn't have time for legends, or for disrespectful little creatures like Zeroth. "If you're not aligned with the South, and you're certainly no ally of mine that I am aware of, my situation is none of your concern. If you simply wish to fight the strongest warriors in the Universe you've arrived at the right planet. However, we have far more pressing matters to deal with than some vagabond who wishes to brawl out in the streets such as yourself." The young Kind would uncross his arms, letting them rest at his sides. His blood was getting hot, knowing the power that this being was capable of, both from his scouter's readout and the shape he left Tartus in, it was a good idea to divert this little meeting elsewhere, away from where any casualties could be had. "Regardless of what it is you came for, you have one chance to leave now. I'll allow you to leave my planet unscathed. And if I were you, I'd take that opportunity to leave quite quickly."
Retasu was all business now. His muscles tensed up, awaiting the Arcosian's answer. "I'll let you know now, if you choose to test your luck, you won't leave me as beaten as you did to Tartus. This will be a fight you may never come back from." The King was ready, regardless of Zeroth's answer. He had to defend his honor and the planet. He could not allow offworlders to simply barge in on his Tower and humiliate him by disbanding his guard force with such ease. This was something he needed to take care of on his own and quickly.

The legendary warrior Zeroth had the desire to fight was one of Retasu's own, though the young King wouldn't know that. Listening to Retasu, the older Arcosian would arch an eyebrow ridge, his tail slowly beginning to sway in an agitated manner. Was this Saiya-jin truly seeking to be insulting? Calling him a vagabond? Who wished to brawl out in the streets? The corner of his mouth would puld pull upwards. "You know, I'm beginning to think this "Legendary Warrior", a Saiya-jin with blonde hair...well, it's just a myth. After all, all I have seen on this planet have been weak. That low class fool Tartus...the bubble gum creature...hrmf..." a slow, low growl would arise from the blue Arcosian's chest. "...and a so-called Saiya-jin "ruler" who backs down from a fight." His studies had taught him of a Saiya-jin trait that could be considered a weakness, however it could also be considered their greatest "strength". Pride. It was once said that was the one thing you could not take from a Saiya-jin Warrior and Zeroth knew this. However, he simply chuckled and turned his back. "Pft. You don't "feel" like a strong warrior anyway. You speak of me as if I am a town drunk, brawling in the streets for fun. But to me it is an artform. Perhaps you aren't even worth my time, no? I would just destroy you, easily." His words were deliberately stinging, dripping with venom. Of course he was disrespectful, buy only because he could back it up!

The alien was testing him, but it seemed he had faced off against people who Retasu had also fought already as well. Tartus and the "bubblegum creature" could only mean that beast who referred to himself as "Mumbo." No wonder this being was so strong. Still, his words were hitting on his pride, which caused his upper lip to curl to the left in a bit of a snarl. "You had your chance then. I guess I'll have to show you just how much of a threat I am." The Saiyajin King would let his arms uncross from his chest, bringing his right hand up to about waist level, his palm facing upwards. This was going to be a risky play, but Retasu had no shot without this desperate move. "I'll make sure to send your remains into space, stuffed into an air tight container. Hopefully you'll end up somewhere that you can actually be of use to someone." Before long, white energy would form in the palm of his open hand, sparking at first before forming a solid, white ball. It was glowing bright, Retasu not looking directly at it as his charcoal eyes burned into the Arcosian in front of him. "Whatever you mean by a legendary Saiyajin warrior with blonde hair, you won't find that here. But that makes my people no less deadly." He could only assume that the creature was referring to the Super Saiyajin of legend, something this planet and part of the galaxy had not seen for several hundred years. He knew he had an ancestor who was capable of it, and rumor had it a Super Saiyajin Warrior destroyed the Northern Empire before, but nothing else since. With his other hand, he'd remove his scouter and toss it far enough away from where they would be fighting. Much farther than one would think it needed to be.
"You only have yourself to blame now, creature!" Cocking his arm back, that white orb of energy hovering over his palm, he'd throw it upwards into the sky, letting it rip through the air during its ascent. "They true key to a Saiyajin's power is in our tails, Zeroth. And when a Saiyajin aborbs enough Bruits Waves through our eyes, it triggers the reaction in our tails so we can transform! Only a select few can create an artificial moon such as this..." He'd trail off as his fingers curled slightly, glaring up at the sky. "YOU WILL KNOW TRUE FEAR NOW!" Sharply, his fingers turned into a fist as that large orb exploded into something much larger in the sky, magnifying the sun's rays down and mixing with the oxygen, creating artificial Bruits Waves that Retasu would eagerly look to soak up in his vision. His tail uncurling from around his waist, waving left and right behind him. As the rays began to become absorbed into his eyes and body, he'd tremble for the first time in a long time. He could feel his body expanding with his power, his tail thrashing behind him, his heart beat racing, his breathing getting more rapid.
It was only a matter of time now, his eyes fully red and glowing and fur beginning to cover his entire body. His armor and bodysuit expanding with him, steadily growing wider and taller, inch by inch, FOOT BY FOOT until he was towering around or over 50 feet tall. He'd let out a massive roar, nearly shaking the entire wastelands. Though he was this large, his speed would not be hindered and his power was comparable to Zeroth's now.

The Arcosian Elite stood stoicly, his eyes and ears focused on Retasu as the man spoke. He paid little attention to the growing orb of white energy at first, but he would note it's growth as he listened. His red eyes would narrow as the Saiya-jin used a technique unfamiliar to he, himself. At first, his right leg would move out behind him as he'd move to staunch his defenses, believing this to be some sort of ki attack. What the hell is this monkey doing? Is this some sort of genki attack? No...it feels...somewhat different...like... his tail would slowly swish behind him, blue lips opening to show sharpening canines. "You'll have my remains jettisoned into space? Not likely. What are you on about, Retasu?! What sorcery is this?!"
He leaned backwards and his eyes went wide as the Saiya-jin warrior would grow before his very eyes! It was an incredible sight, to be sure! The fur seemingly sprouted from nowhere on the warrior's skin, and he heard Retasu's bones cracking as the Saiya-jin's eyes would fill with the light of the strange white orb. Soon, Zeroth craned his neck to look up...and up...and up...at the terrible Beast which stood before him! Was this what the demon had foretold?! The giant ape prophesied by Mazohn?
What...what is this feeling? Is it....fear? No... he shook his head, clenching his fist. This was an unfamiliar feeling for the warrior from Gokkano. Right before Retasu's eyes, he'd steel himself. "A true warrior fears not death, King! Transform into a giant primate all that you wish, you'll not catch me pissing myself like an amateur! Do you understand?!" He called up to the humongous Oozaru, fighting back his initial fear.
Fear was natural. He could feel the increase in the power of Retasu, yet he'd do as he always done. He would fight strategically, slowly rising into the air with the rising sun at his back. By now it was early morning and the clouds had clear...but somehow, the storm was just beginning!

With the transformation complete, the mighty Oozaru King let out another roar. Though, it would appear that the Arcosian would stand his ground at least for now. He gave him that much credit, but these wastes would be his grave and he'd learn first hand the true power of the Saiyajin. Though his form was as large as some buildings, Retasu gave up no speed. He actually had MORE speed than before with such a substantial boost in strength!
Retasu would waste no time in teaching this creature who was boss. With bit of a bend, he'd send that massive, gloved hand towards Zeroth in the form of a backhand that would literally slam into the Arcosian's entire body. If it connected squarely, the being would surely be sent flying off in a hurry from the force. The King would let a snarl escape his throat, baring large, sharp teeth in his muzzle. Those glowing red eyes made it seem like Retasu was not in his right mind, but as an Elite trained Saiyajin he was quite capable of controlling himself in this form.
