Character Name: Wayne Keeso
Species: Human
Age: 24
Height: 6'3
Weight: 214lbs
Appearance: Manual labor has it's way of shaping a man akin to the work in which he does. Wayne is tall and long-limbed with a short and wispy blonde beard. His lanky frame is laced with corded muscle from a lifetime of farming. Hay bales, straw bales, mucking the stalls, all of these plus digging stumps, hauling feed, and digging fence posts have provided a sturdy albeit rustic look for the young man. He is often shirtless, and his clothes reflect function over fashion. A simple pair of white trousers and leather boots round out his attire. His hair is short and the same color as his beard. Most folks who meet him are met with a simple stare and a "how're ya now?" Wayne is, without any further description, a county bumpkin or, hick, if you prefer.
Personality: Wayne is a hard man and has a certain edge about him. He was raised in a strict household and the monotonous work in which he was subjected has honed that edge. While he may appear simple, and docile, Wayne loves to fight. He has a bit of wit about him, though it is rather immature. He excels at getting under other people's skin, especially those who he dislikes. Despite all of this, Wayne is fiercely loyal to the small farming community in which he was raised and will defend them and his family without question. Wayne has a soft spot for animals, which is probably why he has continued farming even after both of his parents passed. Wayne has a small-town personality and he blends in well in his current surroundings.
Brief History: Wayne's great grandparents were among some of the first colonists to colonize Earth II. They staked a claim in the Eastern Lands and along with several other agricultural-minded people cordoned off large tracts of land and made them suitable for farming. This homestead passed down two generations without much incident to Wayne's parents. Here he was born in the same home his great grandparents had built. His youth was spent with learning how to take care of the property, the animals, the crops, all of the things that are typical of a farmer to do. His parents noticed early that Wayne was quite robust physically, and he completed his chores with little effort. He was a boon to the family farm due to his unique gifts of strength and stamina.
As Wayne matured, he started to spend more time off the homestead. He could often be found in town with his close-knit group of friends (boys from farms surrounding his small town) and there and elsewhere much mischief was to be had. Wayne was involved in many a dust-up, and soon held the title of being the toughest man in the surrounding area. It stuck long enough for like-minded from other rural communities miles away to travel to town to try and usurp the title for themselves. Dozens came, and Wayne spent his entire youth defending his largely meaningless (though obviously important to a young adult) title.
Years passed and at three months after Wayne's 21st birthday his father died in a farming accident and it did not take long for his mother to pass from grief. Left with the entire homestead and no one but he and his sister to take care of it, Wayne now found himself saddled with much more responsibility than he had ever had before. His frequent trips into town were reduced and he hired two of his closest friends to help him and his sister in maintaining the property. Yet, despite his new simple and bucolic life, the itch to fight was hard for Wayne to shake.
A few more years passed. His property was productive, his produce stand made profit, and Wayne's life was as cushy as they come. Wayne, however, was not satisfied. Wayne decided it would be best for him to scratch his itch, so he hired another hand and put his sister in charge of the majority of affairs around the homestead. Wayne would take to traveling, a few days out of the week, from small town to town, to enter in local martial arts competitions. He did not have any grand idea or direction of what he was doing, he just wanted to get into a few good ol' scraps really. And so he continues with this today, but you never really know where destiny may end up taking a fella. Wayne sure doesn't.
