Character Name: Ukule (A pun on Ukelele, pronounced Oo-koo-lay)
Species: Mazoku Namekian
Age: Nine
Height: 6'3
Weight: 205 Pounds
Appearance:
Personality:
Ukule is a prideful person at heart and is highly competitive. With a pride in battle that rivals even Saiyans, he is a seriously motivated individual that lets nothing get between him and his goals. With a warrior's heart, he's always on the lookout for a challenge and dreams big, holding his ambitions tightly at the forefront of his mind. He is patient and slow to anger, and is much more crafty than he first appears to be. On the surface he seems blunt, crude, and brutish, but his education and upbringing as one of the contenders for the Daimao seat of the Mazoku has afforded him the best education they could possibly offer. He is well versed in academics as well as folklore, and ever since his arrival on Earth he's absorbed a bit of the culture. Even without his need to eat from being a Namekian, he still enjoys tasting food; in particular, he enjoys grilled Earthling cuisine and sweets, and even enjoys certain Earthling activities. He is very much a mix of a tribal upbringing with a scholarly education; ever fierce in battle and never backing down from a challenge, and then keeping his mind sharp through strategic board games and academic readings later. He believes the Mazoku to be the one true warrior race among Namekians, and takes every opportunity to prove it. Merciless yet respectful, and tame when required and fierce when not. The thought of being a manipulator makes his stomach turn. He would much rather rule through his own strength than through machinations behind closed doors, and so has little respect for politics. He isn't foolish enough to disregard the benefits of such things, though. Overall, he is a proud warrior and a patriot to his people, even if Earthling culture has snagged its hooks into him.
Brief History:
First and foremost, Ukule's history begins with a single Namekian. This Namekian had been birthed to a strong line of Mazoku Warriors, their names carrying a great deal of weight among their people. Renowned for their skill, ferocity, and prowess in battle, this Nameless one was expected to become a contender for the role of Daimao. While his skill in martial arts were incredibly formidable, he lacked the soul of what made a Mazoku ''true''. Constantly acting out of expectation and painted with qualities that painted him unfit to lead, the Nameless one was faced with a choice; undergo a ritual to split his form into two equal but different halves, or always be held back by his nature taking the spotlight of his talent. The Nameless one would choose the former, going through a process of Fission that split him into the two beings that they are known as now.
Ukule is the result of this fission that left behind the so-called negative qualities of his nature, becoming a true Mazoku in heart, mind, and body. By the time this Fission happened, Ukule was shocked to realize how much his power had waned as a result of it. With the position of Daimao now firmly outside of his grasp, Koto Daimao and his son would earn the ire of Ukule upon the realization of their claim. Immediately disgusted with Koto Daimao's more passive ways like a fair number of others were, Ukule began to plot. One day, he simply disappeared from the village. Knowing he couldn't best Koto Daimao's guardian on his own, Ukule instead wandered the planet for one year, training and subjugating several other smaller clans in an attempt to unite and overthrow Koto Daimao, effectively leaving the position up to be settled by the rules of the old and proper ways.
When Ukule made his move, it shocked him to see Kagura, the Daimao's son, utterly decimate and devastate the rag-tag coalition of forces. Beaten into the dirt and humiliated, the shame of the experience caused Ukule to flee to Earth, where he can more safely amass his strength. When the time is right and Ukule's power is restored, and perhaps even surpasses that of his old combined self, he will return to Planet Mazoku to claim what has always been rightfully his! Educated in the lore of his people and a master of their martial arts, nothing will stop Ukule on his path of conquest; he will lead the Mazoku!
