His gambit had worked, landing a solid blow right on the cheek of the howling being. The being's features bugged out in such a way that almost reminded Dian of one of those old cartoons he'd seen once or twice when his father were actually staying in civilization. Time seemed to stop for a moment on impact, the two fighters frozen there. He'd actually hit his foe. The creature's cheek felt strangely soft, as if his foe was made out of something gummy. But he'd not have long to ponder it, for the being was sent flying backwards, out towards the waves, giving Dian plenty of breathing room. "Is your tantrum over yet?" He called out to his foe as the being came to stop in air, assessing his wounds and the situation. Maybe, just maybe, his opponent would see some sense and abandon this battle. But it was not to be. Instead, more smoke poured out of Kazam's head and the creature set to screaming his rage. Dian sighed. What fresh new Hell awaited him? The being slammed its feet into the ground, and Dian smirked. What was he doing now? Stomping his feet like a child? Maybe his foe was just a big baby after all. A big, monstrous baby composed of bubble gum by the looks of it. But he would have no time to be amused: instead, an assualt came from beneath, pink pillars bursting from the sand. There was no time to react. Instead, Dian was rocked by the first pillar, it striking him in the chin. His vision blurred for just a second, but the new onslaught was not over, for more pillars of pink erupted from the sand, rocking him back and forth, tossing him about like he was some kind of doll. Things were not going well: he'd taken some real damage there and the assault was still going. In a desperate attempt, Dian pushed off one of the gummy pillars and flung himself from the region of this attack. He landed on the sand, hard on one of his knees, sand flying everywhere as he came down. Grunting, he immediately threw himself into running, closing the distance between him and his foe. And as he came closer, he flung himself upward into a flying kick, aimed straight for the being's chest.

The psychotic little Majin felt proud of himself, watching Dian get knocked around by his sneaky attack. One after the other those feet slammed down into the earth and back up where he stood. He'd continue to do this, even as the Hybrid began to make a course directly towards him, and with a shocked expression Kazam would find himself knocked backwards from a stiff kick to his feeble looking chest. The foot would slam into him, causing him to break his offensive tirade and bring one hand up to shield that was just attacked. Gritting his teeth once more, the Majin became all the more irritated with Dian Xin's counter attack to everything he did. Unable to really put words together, all Kazam could do was let out another scream or two in frustration. However, he was able to come up with something decent as far as a game plan, once he pushed those clouded thoughts of anger and mass murder out of his mind.
Readying himself again, the Majin would launch himself forward once more, towards Dian's body. Instead of clashing with him, the Majin would fly directly past him, attempting to confuse the Hybrid as to what his intentions were. With his elastic body, the Majin would whip his head around, launching that head tentacle towards Dian like a whip, and if it was successful, said head tentacle would wrap itself tightly around his ankle. With a sharp pull back on his head, he'd attempt to trip Dian right off his feet, forcing him to slam into the floor. Laughing to himself, quite irritably at that, Kazam would rocket off, flying in several different directions with poor Dian Xin getting dragged into rocks and everything else below him.

The blow landed, a solid hit to the chest, causing his foe to stumble backwards. Dian himself bounced off the gummy chest and came down in the sand, managing to land on both of his feet. He brought up his hands to ready himself for an immediate counter attack, but before anything came, the being set to what seemed to be its favorite activity: screaming. It was like the being had lost all sense of words or language, reverting to primal screeches. In fact, Dian did not think he had heard the being speak properly since the metamorphosis had taken place. Could this Kazam even speak? Dian was not no sure, but in the moment, he had more important things to do than to find out. The being dashed at Dian, and he was ready. But instead of an assault, the gumman shot past him, speeding like a bullet. Dian whipped around, confused as all hell. Was the being abandoning the battle suddenly? But he'd get his answer soon enough: something tight wrapped around his ankle, like some kind of cuff or wire. Dian Xin's eyes widened in surprise, and suddenly his hand shot for the blade at his waste in a panic. Too late. Before he could even draw the blade, the ground seemed to shift beneath him and his face turned upward to meet the sky as he slammed into the ground, sand working its way into his hair and clothes. This new assault brought new pain: Dian Xin was whipped about like some kind of yo-yo. Rocks, the hard ground, anythign and everything seemed to collide with his body. His vision rocked. Perhaps he'd made a mistake by holding back, as the being certainly was not. Gritting his teeth, Dian leaned forward and tried to grip the pink tentacle that kept him bound. If he were successful, he'd grip it tight and pole, taking advantage of his own magics to reverse his velocity, attempting to either pull the being towards him and assault him or even rip that damn tentacle out of his head. If the being came towards him, he'd be ready to let loose on the creature in an instant with the full furry of his fists.

While whipping the boy to and fro Kazam had suddenly felt that head tentacle getting pulled on. So, he wanted to reel the Majin in like a fish, did he? With a grin, he'd give the Hybrid what he was looking for, launching himself back down towards Dian headfirst. However, once again the boy outsmarted him, throwing a fist into the middle of his face and causing Kazam to snap his head back. Quickly, that head tentacle would unwrap itself from around Dian's ankle, Kazam getting to his feet now, his upper half bent backwards from the impact of the hit, staring up at the sky. Did Dian's attack really cause this much trouble for the Majin?
Not really.
Dramatically, he Majin would snap his body forward again, placing either thumb on the side of his head and sticking his tongue out at Dian. "BLEEBLEEBLEE!!" Kazam would screech, clearly making fun of Dian's attempt to harm him. Though, the spot in the middle of his head did sting quite a bit, it still wasn't enough to put Kazam out. Now the Majin was clearly having fun, with the slightest of advantages in this match. His primal rage would only be quenched once he had downed this Hybrid once and for all. And to think, all he needed to do was feed him!
Lowering both his arms down at his sides, the Majin would tilt his head ever so slightly. "Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh." Was all he said, Kazam offering the most sinister of smirks to Dian. His short right arm would come up, aiming an open palm at the Hybrid, a small orb of dark pink and black swirling ki came to life within it. "HEEEEEEEEEEEEEH!" Another loud sound coming from him, the sphere of ki within his palm getting larger and larger, kicking up the sand around them and swirling it around as it grew. If Dian wasn't adept at ki, he'd learn about it now.
Without so much as a warning, Kazam would leap up into the air, aiming that palm downwards towards Dian, his left hand coming to grip his wrist in order to keep it steady. Within seconds, a large beam of ki would erupt from the the single, large sphere. The head of it rocketing right down to impact Dian and the ground dead on. Truly such a destructive force would've done a number on the surrounding area as well!

His plan had worked! Dian's fist crashed into the being's head and it snapped back like some kind of big, pink punching bag. For his efforts, he was rewarded with his ankle being freed from the graspe of the being. Quickly, he righted himself and touched back down on solid ground, once again standing on his own two feet. Had he dazed his foe? Kazam was left staring at the sky, his neck still backwards from the blow it had just taken. Apparently not. The being reared its ugly head forward and stuck out its tongue at Dian Xin, mocking him. Dian's cheeks burned. His foe really was a child, at least in terms of the mind. It was like a toddler, one that had grown too big for its britches. One that was pushing Dian Xin around like it was nothing. Dian watched ever so carefully as the being moved about, tilting its head, lowering its arm. His foe was truly unpredictable, in every sense of the word. An assault could come from literally any direction. Dian Xin thought he knew how to fight, but never had he encountered a foe like this. But the monster was now employing a new tactic: ki. Dian grit his teeth. He knew a little about ki. It was close enough to his own magicks, but distinct enough to be something else entirely. All he knew was this: it hurt like a bitch. Sand whipped up around them as Kazam charged its attack. "By Kami," muttered Dian Xin, "Why did things have to get so serious?"The pink and black orb was swirling with power now. Dian could have possibly responded in kind; he knew his sorcery could do the same, but he was unsure how to proceed. He'd never used it on such a scale before. No, the halfblood had never faced a foe fists and blades alone could not topple. And, in the end, his hesitation bit him in the ass: a beam of energy shot forth and consumed him. It burned like hell, and he could feel his skin glowering with the power, like he'd been thrust into some kind of oven. His footing slipped and he was whisked away by the beam. It carred him like he was a mere child, and as it slammed into the ground, he could hear an explosion go up and sand cascade in the destruction. Smoke surrounded him as the attack subsided, and he felt much worse for wear. Slowly, he struggled to a knee, and then his feet. He looked about him: the beach was starting to look like a warzone, especially now that the being was throwing around such power. Dian's arm trembled as he lifted it and pointed a single finger at his foe. "Y-you're a pretty dangerous guy. Not exactly the clown I thought you were," he coughed, "I'm glad it was me you ran into and not some body else. I'd hate to think-" His speech was interrupted by a single cough. Clearing his throat, he countinued, "I'd hate to think what you would have done to somebody else just now."Dian closed a single eye and moved his hand about in air, leveling it straight for the beings forehead. Surging forth, Dian expelled a single bolt of crimson magick towards his foe, like a feeble crack of lightning out of a dying cloud. A pathetic attempt, by most standards, but it was what he had.

The sadistic little Majin would watch with glee in his eyes as the destructive force of ki consumed the Hybrid, causing quite the explosion in its wake. The tremors that came from the attack itself could be felt relatively far away, an impressive crater had formed where the beam had made impact, after dealing its damage to Dian who apparently could not do much to deflect it away. Proudly, the Majin would begin to beat his little fists against his little, bare chest. "YOOHOO! YOOHOO! YOOHOO!" Every beat reverberated like a drum, oddly, those little fists bouncing off his own gummy body repeatedly. He surely was something else. At some points it appeared as if he had no idea what was going on, and just raged and caused destruction. At other times, he showed pride in his work, and mocked Dian for not being able to put him away.
His celebration would continue until he felt a pang of energy rushing towards him. As he looked down, a bolt of energy bounded for him, making its way to his body with incredible speed. However, given Dian's state compared to Kazam, the Majin would be able to handle this easily. He'd expand his body out some, and towards his midsection where the energy bolt was aimed, he'd form a large hole, allowing it to pass through him and leave him unharmed. He'd grin, flashing his pearly whites now, his body slowly lowering to the sandy area below him. As those boots made contact, he'd find himself directly in front of Dian, who was in dire straits. Without anyone around to really help the Hybrid, he was Kazam's for the taking.
Slowly, he'd make a casual walk over towards the Hybrid, grinning the entire time. Getting within barely a foot of Dian, he'd simply motion with his hand, pointing at the strap of his bag. Of course. This was all about the food, right? And Kazam, in this enraged state, was going to make sure that he got it. As if it happened in LESS than an instant, Kazam would surge forward, closing in any distance between himself and Dian, slamming his elbow directly into his gut. If he was able to connect without getting blocked or dodged, he hoped the impact would drive enough of the air out of Dian's lungs to render him even more of a non-factor at getting fed some more delicious dried, salted meat.

It was no good. The being's strange physiology was a boon for his foe: it seemed that the gummy body of Kazam had more unique properties than Dian could have guessed. Kazam opened up a hole in his body and Dian's attack sailed harmlessly through the being. His hand trembled again, and he let it fall harmlessly to the ground. "Dammit," he whispered, "Just what is this guy?" The beast began to approach him, and Dian grit his teeth? Was this it? Was he going to die here? All over some jerky? Damn it, Dian thought to himself, why did he have to go and fight this guy? He couldn't have just given the creature what he had and this could have been over and done with, could he? He just had to try and make a point, just try and teach a lesson. And now, he was hurting for it. The monster rushed him, closing the distance, all the while viciously slamming an elbow into Dian's stomach. The air shot from his lungs, air escaping like someone had popped a balloon. A defeated grunt escaped his lips as he gasped for air. Things were not looking good for the halfblood. For certain, Dian Xin was on the ropes. But he could not give up, not yet! In a final attempt, Dian Xin reared his head back with the blow and attempted to slam into his foe's own head. A desperate tactic for a desperate man.

How annoying. This Hybrid was truly getting on his nerves, even after that sharp blow to his stomach, he still was standing. Unfortunately, for Dian, Kazam did not have any sense of respect at all. All he knew was he wanted this guy to go away so he could eat! He'd simply stand there, as Dian's forehead slammed directly into his own, barely snapping his own head back from the impact. Dian was at his limit, even someone as dense as Kazam could sense it, with his mind clouded by rage. Any other person would just some sort of respect to a fighter like Dian, being able to keep up with such a monster. If it was any consolation, Kazam wasn't really a normal being at all.
In response, Kazam would attempt to slam his own forehead into Dian's in response, this time trying to put him out on his behind. Not enough to kill him for sure, maybe not even knock him out for longer than a few moments. He just wanted that damn bag and that damn jerky!
