The salty breeze of Earth's southern oceans tossed Dian Xin's hair about as he marched down the road, occasionally tussling his new threads- the gi of the legendary Turtle School. With each step, his sword jostled by his side. While his body moved forward, Dian Xin's mind was elsewhere: concentrating on the words of the Kamesennin and how he might come to act by them.
Improve his ki control, he thought, now that was an odd task and one he had never really considered. He had always just been. . . strong, as hybrid individuals tended to be. He had never really trained before; the whole concept was new to him. But still, he had sought out the Kamesennin of his own volition and made promises to the man about doing right by his school and even entering the World Martial Arts Tournament as a representative of the Turtle School. Some pretty stiff goals that he had to succeed at. . . And with very little time in the grand scheme of things to prepare for them. If he was going to do right by his word, he was going to have to get serious!
. . . which was hard, given how even someone like the Kamesennin had very limited hours in the day. Dian Xin supposed being the leader of a legendary martial arts school was pretty busy and the old mouse sure seemed to spend a lot of his time. . . occupied. No, if Dian Xin was going to grow his strength, he would have to train on his own- or find some other partner for it.
Deciding that there was no time quite like the present, Dian Xin jack knife off the path and headed down towards the nearby beach, deciding he ought to get well out of the way of a more civilized space. Purple eyes gazed out onto the ocean with an intense focus as he stepped among the sand, his brow furrowing with concentration. Coming to a standstill, Dian Xin dropped into a squat and began to summon his ki. Pale white energy began to course around him, and grains of sand flew everywhere as his energy sparked to life. His energy reached a zenith! Anyone in the surrounding area who could sense energy ought to be able to sense him right about now. . . whether that was a good thing or not, that depended on his or her intentions!

It was such a good feeling.
The breeze of the oceans, it was so calm yet refreshing but not too strong. He wondered, why couldn’t he enjoy the wind like this just about everywhere? It was quite the pleasure to simply lean back against the trees and enjoy the chilling sensation that ran down his spine. It was definitely amazing. But among them all, it was also nice to just sit back and think about stuff at times.
The Martial Arts Tournament, huh? To think he would soon be fighting strong people from all over the place was as thrilling as it could get for the Earthling. He wondered what sort of people he would find on other planets, the male was sure that if an Earthling like him could muster up such power, there had to be just as amazing or even more out there.
“Uhhm. I should probably train, though. It won’t do me good just being lazy over here, hehe,” - thought the male as he straightened his posture and pushed himself on both feet, as he stood with his martial arts shoes onto the grass and took a few steps towards the edge of the island he had found nest over the South.
Before the man could depart, though, he suddenly picked up on a fiery energy signature— was someone fighting or? No, he could feel only one ki! He had never felt it before, either.
The male slowly adjusted his gaze to face the direction the energy spread from, as he readied himself for flight. “This way!” - exclaimed the martial artist, who took off and flew towards the unknown.
Only once the man had arrived by a quite peculiar and distant island, he had the pleasure to catch a glimpse of the culprit; another human, seemingly at least, who was firing up his ki. He did not quite know why, but hey, a conversation could never be a bad approach!
“Oss’! I am Cornatto! Man, I felt your energy from over there. What’s up? Is anything going on here?”
The curious male also could not help but shoot a glance at the building located behind the hybrid.
“What is this place anyway? I've never been here myself!”

Another ki rose on the horizon. Dian Xin could feel it swiftly approaching. It was. . . large, unusually so for an Earthling. And thought it felt harmless, there was something distinctly unfamiliar about it. Still, he did not fear the approaching ki. In fact, he welcomed it. Dian Xin might even say, if he were so bold, that he was excited to meet the source of the ki, eagerly turning his head towards the horizon as the source of the power grew larger and larger. Who could it belong to? It it were coming southward, perhaps it was another student of the legendary Nezu Mi, come home from some training pilgrimage. Or perhaps it was another legendary martial artist come to meet with the Kamesennin so that they might discuss matters of advanced and secret bits of martial arts lore. The sand around him settled into place and the sea breeze once again ebbed gently against his hair. . . an idyllic world, the home of the Kame House could be.
In a flash, the man arrived and introduced himself. He seemed friendly enough, this man who called himself Cornatto. A relief, given that his power was indeed well above that of the Earthling race- it was even more plain now that he was right in front of Dian Xin. Relaxing his own power, Dian Xin offered the friendly interloper a small bow in greeting, and grinned wide at him.
"Nice to meet you, Cornatto," said the hybrid to the man whose hair looked like a palm tree, "My name is Dian Xin."
The hybrid tossed his hair to the side.
"And sorry to disturb you with my ki if that's the case. I'm trainin' for the Tenkaichi Budokai and my master needs me to learn more about ki control before we get too far along."
Dian Xin gave the man an appraising look. He did not seem like an impressive sort of guy, but looks could be deceiving. The guy definitely had some real power. After meeting Nezu Mi, Dian Xin knew well enough not to judge a book by its cover.
"Speakin' of my master. . ." he continued, "you here to see old man Nezu Mi- I mean, the Kamesennin? A guy strong as you probably has a lot of business 'round these parts." @cornatto

The Earthling Saiyan could finally see the source of such large ki; a red-haired human, with long ears and quite a difficult to guess sexuality, to be precise, but other than that he didn’t seem all that different from most people. Although his eyes were indeed quite particularly deep, as if they showed a far greater plane of existence than the one of a human but Cornatto couldn’t certainly grasp such concepts but instead, let himself get lost in one thought: how strong was this guy?
Dian Xin did not quite look like much to him, but his ki said otherwise. After all, looks could be deceiving, after all. But what was he doing out in the middle of nowhere? The only one guess he could come up with was training. Mostly because he could not imagine anyone doing anything else in such a place devoid of actual human life, but regardless of that, the hybrid seemed to welcome the Saiyajin without too many questions on the other hand.
Cornatto’s salute had been gone for granted as he received one of Xin’s as the black-haired male nodded his head. “Huh, alright. Then I will call you Xin,” - said the male to the doubtful gender individual, until he offered a thumbs up directed in the hybrid’s way. “Nice to meetcha!”
Soon though, the male expressed amusement as the hybrid mentioned the Tenkaichi Budokai. “Uhh, wait, you’re gonna be there, too?! Haha, man that’s awesome! Good to know I will have some worthy opponent to battle— Don’t worry, though. You didn’t disturb me. I just got curious, that’s all!”
But, the martial artist could not help and quirk an eyebrow at the mention of the half-demon’s master. “Nezu… Mi? Uhh, who’s that? I know no Kamesennin… what even is that, anyway?”

'Xin'? Dian Xin offered the dark haired man a half smile. That was an odd one- he had actually never been called that before. Most people opted to call him 'Dian' when they chose to shorten his name. In a way, it was actually sort of refreshing! The man seemed to carry himself with a thick veneer of casualness, as demonstrated by his mannerisms.
Quite cheerful for a strong, musclebound guy he noted. And immediately, Dian Xin was twice as interested in the guy when he said that he was also attending the Tenkaichi Budokai. "I look forward to seeing you there, then" said Dian Xin happily, "hopefully we'll get a chance to take a crack at one another and I can show you the results of my training. Though I wouldn't ever go easy on ya!"
Still, Dian Xin's eyes went wide as he heard what the man said next. Who was Nezu Mi? What was a Kamesennin? He could forgive not knowing Nezu Mi by name, but not knowing of the legendary Kamesennin, a title carried by legendary fighters? That was odd. Did the man live under a rock? Or was he some kind of backwoods hillbilly in a martial artist's outfit?
Well, the man certainly knew how to get around Dian Xin's expectations.
"You haven't heard of the Kamesennin, eh?" he asked "Now that's a surprise. I wanna say nearly every warrior on Earth ought to have at least heard about the Turtle School of martial arts. It's legendary in our craft, you know?"
Dian Xin smirked. "And I'm in trainin' to be one of those very same legendary warriors. . . just as soon as I get a little more ki control under my belt."

Now that the red-haired male had finally somewhat synced up with the manners of the Earthling Saiyajin, he could not help but wonder just what their meeting would have brought them to; surely the hybrid did not look like much but so didn’t Cornatto. But hey! The dark-haired male had picked up on one remarkable ki coming from him. He could only wonder what someone like him would be doing in the middle of nowhere— he was pretty sure that he had come in the whereabouts before, but he had never encountered someone who could have matched him.
Could this finally be the chance for him to put himself to the test? He hoped so! The man had grown bored of how he could not actually find something that would allow him to challenge himself and give him a further motivation to get stronger; that was what he also sought, somehow. But he could not put such desire down to words: he would likely only say that he only wants to become stronger.
Cornatto smirked. “Hehe. I do myself, honestly! It’s been a while since I had the chance to exchange punches without having to hold back.”
The Earthling could not help but stare confusedly at the other as the boy displayed a different mannerism over his features; had he said something wrong? He could not quite remember the name Nezu Mi, perhaps he might have heard it before but he was not too sure about it honestly.
The man tilted his head slightly as his ears focused on Xin’s voice only until his eyelids opened up at the mention of the ‘Turtle School’; he did know about that one before! Corn had never looked into too much because he thought those schools were something private and he did not quite look forward to spending a long time just to be welcomed by the master, but he did not know its master would be called Kamesennin.
“Oooh. Yeah! I have heard about the Turtle School before. How’s it? So its master is this Nezu Mi guy, huh? Is he strong? I am curious now!”
The male tossed one question after the other until he halted at the mention that Xin would be training to become one of those ‘legendary warriors’. Cornatto blinked, several times until he bobbed his head ever so slightly and directed a grin in the hybrid’s way.
“Oh? Then fight me! Show me what this legendary warrior is.”

So the man had heard of the legendary Turtle School. . . it went to figure, thought the hybrid. Nearly everyone who called them a martial artist would have heard of it. Still, he could be forgiven for not knowing Nezu Mi by name. . . even Dian Xin had not known that! There was not a whole lot Dian Xin knew about the mysterious mouse, besides his proclivity for alcohol. Like his true level of strength. . . which Cornatto was now asking about.
Dian Xin froze. He did not know how to response, save for the fact that he did not want to make his master sound weak. "Erm," said Dian Xin, "he's the master of the legendary Turtle School! Of course he's strong!"
Dian Xin, in the back of his mind, was now hoping Cornatto would not call him on his bluff or realize he had told a lie. . . and perhaps Dian Xin could have a chance to change the course of conversation! The man wanted to fight! Dian Xin nodded and jumped back, his white-ish ghost of an aura flaring to life around him and his sword banging against the side of his leg: he would not draw the blade, at least not yet, not while things were still casual.
"Alright, Cornatto!" he said with a roar, "Let's fight! Consider this practice for the Tenkaichi Budokai!"
Rolling initiative!

The Earthling Saiyajin was not all that sure in regards to a stranger’s strength, but if Xin said he was strong, then he’d believe him! He was the master, after all, no?
“Huh. I see. Well, I want to meet him someday! Maybe you can show me where he is at later? I can just go there by myself. I hope he will accept to battle with him— Now I am kinda curious to see what he can do!”
He guessed Cornatto only ought to test him out for himself one day, but for the moment the male was mostly concerned with his request; he had asked the swordsman to spar. He was curious to see what sort of strength these Turtle guys would possess and possibly see what he could do against a fellow participant of the Tenkaichi Budokai.
“Hehe. Alright then!” - exclaimed the male as he spread both legs wide and allowed his back to straighten as he assumed his fighting stance. “I won’t hold back against you!”

The man slipped into a fighting stance and time seemed to slow to a crawl as the halfblood appraised his opponent. This 'Cornatto' held himself well, determined Dian Xin. . . either a natural or someone who had had their fair share of training. Either way, the man's ki bespoke to a certain amount of battle power, and the hybrid would do well to mind this particular amount.
Snapping back into the moment, Dian Xin was ready to attack! He would have to make the first move; the key to controlling the battle was with whomever made the first move. . . or at least so he fought. Either way, he was rarin' to go against this guy and was done just standing around!
"Let's go!" he shouted and immediately pushed off the balls of his feet, launching himself at the man, aiming to lay a flurry of fists upon his torso, his shoulders and arms working themselves into a fine rhythm as he started his assault on the newcomer!
