SHINJIN
CHOSEN GODS OF THE UNIVERSE
Origin: Various planets, originally from Planet KaishinCharacteristics: Born from the Kaiju, or World Tree, Shinjin are quite literally living beings born of fruit. When the Kaiju bears its apple-like fruit, the characteristics depend on what type of Shinjin will be born. The most common Shinjin are born from "normal" type fruit, which give them a somewhat Humanoid appearance, though definitely appearing to be otherworldly. These Shinjin are capable of becoming Kaio, or "Lord of Worlds." Because they are the more common of the Shinjin type, when a Kaio passes away there is a lottery that takes place to determine the next Kaio. Their lifespan is roughly 75,000 years or so. Those that are lucky enough to be born of the "Golden" type fruit are revered as Kaioshin, "God of Worlds", when their time is called to take up the mantle as one. They have a more Humanoid appearance than the regular fruit types. Their lifespan is roughly several millions of years. Some never get the chance to become a Kaioshin because of this, HOWEVER there are instances where they become official "Kaio" when necessary. The final type are born from "rotten" Kaiju fruit, known as Makaio. Not much is known about them, other than they are discarded quickly into the Demon Realm as soon as their fruit is born. They are governed over in the Demon Realm over the Kaioshin counterparts, the most evil of all Shinjin, the Makaioshin. Currently, Shinjin are spread out throughout the galaxy, though their numbers are limited, in order to observe other living beings, and due to the emergence of the Demon Realm Doors, the Makaio are not excluded from this.Starting Stats:

Name Pun: Pun on godly figures in history.

Racial Traits: All Shinjin have the following 2 Traits, with the third being dependent on their type of fruit.
- Healing: Once a match, a Shinjin can heal 30% of their Max HP. The healing does not take up a turn and works mechanically the same way that a healing item does, so they can attack in the same turn as they heal. They can also heal 50% of another person's HP during a Team Battle, but unlike self-healing this takes up an attacking turn and requires 2 Genki Points to do. The GP that is lost is able to be replenished.
- "Godly" Ki: Because their ki is undetectable by mere mortals, they can roll an initiative dice of 1d125.
The following traits are Shinjin type dependent:
- Kaio Path / Normal Fruit - Technique Masters: Most of a Kaio Shinjin's time is spent waiting to be called up to the big leagues as an official Kaio. In the meantime, they spend all of their days honing their skills in combat. While most don't look like any sort of battle guru, they all are especially proficient. Because of this, the cost of buying and upgrading techniques is reduced by 20%.
- Kaioshin Path / "Golden" Fruit - Kai Kai: Due to their incredible power and godly influence, "Golden" fruit Shinjin can teleport from place to place once they have acquired enough power to do so. This works mechanically like a space ship, and the Shinjin can take one other person with them. A level of 4d70 is required before Kai Kai can be used. *As a note, Kai Kai cannot be used to teleport Shinjin to threads where they otherwise would not belong. Any indicated abuse of these technique will result in warnings and possible bans from usage.*
- Makaioshin Path / "Rotten" Fruit - Darkness Mixer: With their evil influences, a Makaio Shinjin can forcefully possess any being for a short amount of time. Once a match, they can roll 1d-their dice sides, and if the roll is 50%+ they have succeeded in possessing a person of their choice, this does not take up an attacking post Pass or Fail. In a 1v1 match, this essentially acts like a Stun, allowing the Makaio to go again. In a Mass Spar or Team Match this lasts 3 turns. In a Mass Spar the possessed cannot attack the Makaio at all, in a Team Match the Makaio dictates who they are attacking. A level of 4d70 is required before Darkness Mixer can be used. This trait can also be used outside of a battle with OOC permission for more permanent effects, in order to push plots, stories, etc.
Transformations
TRANSFORMATION: Chikara!
REQUIREMENTS: "Normal" Shinjin ONLY, -1 Max GP (Cannot be replenished in the battle)
POWER INCREASE: +1d
DESCRIPTION: All Kaio Path / Normal Fruit Shinjin are capable of expanding their power to the absolute limit. Pushing their ki outwards of their body, their strength and focus are bumped up considerably for the duration of a fight.
TRANSFORMATION: Ascended Shinjin
REQUIREMENTS: d80
POWER INCREASE: Permanent +2 Max GP (8 Max GP Total)
DESCRIPTION: Through rigorous training a Shinjin is capable of mastering their level of ki control. While their physical strength does not change outright, nor do they go through any physical changes their capabilities are greatly increased.
TRANSFORMATION: Supreme Shinjin
REQUIREMENTS: d95
POWER INCREASE: Permanent +2 Max GP (10 Max GP Total)
DESCRIPTION: Through rigorous training a Shinjin is capable of mastering their level of ki control. While their physical strength does not change outright, nor do they go through any physical changes their capabilities are greatly increased.
NOTE: Chikara!! can be stacked with the GP unlocks for Normal Shinjin.
