CUSTOM RACES
Only focusing on the "main" species in the series leaves considerable room for other species types to make their way into the light, whether they are one-shot characters that we see, like Burter, Recoome, Cui, etc., or if they are something else entirely. Being set in another part of the galaxy makes this especially easy to do. If you're not a fan of any of the current species available, try your hand at creating one on your own. We have three templates below that you can choose from to base your custom species off of.
Please take into consideration that we will require an extensive amount of information surrounding any custom race being brought forward for approval. "They're humans but they shoot fire" is not a good example of a custom race. Really give it some thought, expand your imagination, be different while attempting to keep the canon Universe of Dragon Ball as your priority.
Using the templates below, see which one fits your species the best. Copy and paste the BBC code into a new thread in the "Suggestions" board. Within that board, we have a sub-board for all New Species suggestions / requests. From there, staff will deliberate and discuss publically with you until all parties have reached a formal agreement.

Birth Planet: Let us know what planet this species hails from. Origin: Please give a detailed rundown on everything about this race until the current time period. Description and plot keeps staff engaged. Needs to have a lot of depth. Characteristics: Detail the typical characteristics, from a physical and psychological standpoint. What do they typically look like? What kind of personalities do they exhibit? Genders: Male and Female, only one or the other, etc. Hybridize: Cant they hybridize with other Species, and which? Name Pun: We encourage name puns, but it is not mandatory.
Racial Traits: Bold 1 trait from each column to fill out the 3 that is required. TRAIT ONE -
- +20% EXP Gain in all match types, even in losses. Does not effect Zeni gains or any EXP gained via absorption. *NOTE: Any custom species starting with 4 dice/4d are disqualified from being able to use this specific trait and must choose one of the others.*
- +10% Zeni Gain in all match types.
- Start any match with +50HP
- Heal up to 30% of Max HP once per match. Costs 1 GP, cannot be replenished by items. Does not take up an attacking turn.
- Absorption: If your custom species is capable of Absorption, they will be able to absorb up to 50% total EXP of any character they have killed by rolling 1d50 after they have killed said character. If this is in a Mass Death Match scenario, they can absorb the body on their next turn at the expense of an attacking turn. The gains for the absorption are added mid-thread by a Staff Member, and will change the Absorbers dice stats (if necessary) mid-match. The minimum gained is 20% if the roll is a 20 or lower. If a character is going to absorb characters in non-fighting scenarios, the amount of EXP gained is always 20% of the absorbed character's total EXP. This scenario must be agreed upon 100% by both parties. *NOTE: This trait will be accepted on a case by case basis. Your detail, plot, and depth as to why your custom species has this trait must be second to none for it to even be considered. This is a very powerful trait when in use, and will not be passed around like candy. You've been warned.*
TRAIT TWO - - The cost of Enhancers is reduced by 10%.
- The cost of Items is reduced by 10%, with the exception of Enhancers, Techniques, and Minions.
- The cost of Techniques is reduced by 20%.
TRAIT THREE - - Once per a match a natural Lvl. 1 Offensive Enhancer may be used on an attack. Can be stacked with purchased Offensive Enhancers.
- Once per match a natural Lvl. 1 Blocking Attack may be used. Does not take up an attacking turn or use GP.
- Enhanced init roll.
