THE VISIONARIESOrigin: Kanassa. Characteristics: Kanassans are fish-like humanoids who originally come from the planet Kanassa. It was thought that this race was killed off, but recently a few of these fish-like beings have surfaced in the galaxy. The main trait that distinguishes the Kanassans from most other races is their natural affinity to harness the power of their minds. They have been known to see visions of what may be, as well as communicate telepathically. Genders: Male and female. Name Pun: None ? Starting Stats: Dice: 2d20 Zeni: 100 Racial Traits: Flash of Insight: Due to their ability to foresee the future, a Kanassan can adapt to attempt to change their fate. Once per battle, a Kanassan may re-roll any die roll and take the largest result. Just because they can see the future, doesn't always mean they can prevent it. Insightful: Kanassans are always somewhat aware of subtle hints of the future. Even if they don't have a full vision, they have almost a sixth sense about things. Kanassans roll 1d8 for initiative rolls. Transformations Transformation Required Dice Power Increase Description Clairvoyant Mind d40 Permanent 2d A Kanassian who meditates long enough can learn to harness their natural ability to glimpse the future, giving them great wisdom and insight into their own weaknesses to learn how to best overcome them. Transcendant One d75 Permanent 4d With further honing of their natural psychic abilities, a Kanassan can use this to not only hone their weaknesses, but to more easily recognize the weaknesses of their opponents. Omniscient Insight d90 +d10 Rumor has it that the greatest Kanassans can tap into a level of omniscience, and even then it is only a temporary insight. It is not known if any Kanassans have ever truly had one of these insights though.

This is just my attempt to help the site out. I hope it's balanced well, but at least it's a start, right? Also, I did the best I could on the layout. It'll need cleaned up if it ever becomes an actual species for the site.

I think this looks pretty good. The re roll technique sounds interesting, I would just be a little worried about if it would be too OP. Also how exactly it would work mechanically? The player would have to post a seperate reroll post after their initial roll but before the score Card is posted?
I thought we could maybe give them an advantage to dodging techniques. Essentially they could see incoming attacks and therefore have more time to react to them. Maybe something like they get to roll an extra 1d when performing dodging techniques?
Other than that it looks really good, the Trans look pretty balanced to me (although I'm assuming that the clairvoyant mind Trans should be permanent 3d and the 2d is a typo)

Yeah it would be a seperate roll before the scorecard. And as for being OP, it's a 1 time reroll, and other races get 1 time abilities, like a cyborg getting a free super/ultra attack or something like that. I don't think it's too far off from something like that personally. That's what I was thinking when I designed it anyway.

Oh yeah, I didn't notice you put once per battle. I guess that's what you get when you read a post at 3 am.
Once per battle sounds good, that shouldn't be too powerful at all.

Alright, few points here. Overall, I like the inclusion of a race like Kanassans. Even though they are exclusive to the Bardock movie (the first one), I wouldn't mind seeing them included here. Actually, I think it'd be great if they were a slave race of sorts used by the N-PTO on Planet Gokkano. Will give them some depth and actually explain how they had survived after the invasion by Bardock and Co. via the original PTO.
Now, to get into it: - The dice stats will need to follow either Type 1, 2, or 3. It seems like you have a hybrid version of your own kind. Unfortunately, we just need to make sure it's either of the set types we have for ease. AT LEAST FOR NOW. My suggestion would be for Type 2, without a setting transformation. If we were update the Custom Race types to include more than the 3 we have, we can absolutely look back at this if necessary.
- Custom traits are okay with me. The reason why it took so long is because I was trying to determine if I wanted to stick with JUST the traits I have listed on the Custom Race page, or if actually allowing custom traits are okay. I'll have it so the traits I have listed are suggested traits, BUT if any of them are used they have to be used the way we have them. As in, can't have a race with two Type 1 traits. Now, the first trait is too much, imo. I'd rather tone it back a bit. I know the Kanassans are introduced as psychics that can tell the future but I would like to have it done differently. My suggestion would be perhaps one free Stage 1 Block or Dodge Attack per thread, even if they have not purchased an actual one. This would make use of their ability to see flashes of the future, as opposed to being 100% oracles in a sense. The picking which attacking roll is the one to use based off of two separate rolls is just too much for me. My suggestion is what I think would work best. The Insightful trait is perfect, imo.
- All races have 3 traits, you're missing one so make sure to add another.
If you can get these things done, we'll discuss things further afterwards.
