The train’s whistle pierced the air with three long blasts. Wayne was jarred awake from the sudden onset of noise. He rubbed his eyes with the palms of hands as the train sluggishly came to a halt. Sunlight sought to sneak into the empty feed car he had taken residence in. Noticing that the train was completely stopped, he rose to his feet and stretched. Clutching the iron bar fused to the car door, he pulled back the heavy sliding door. The small compartment he had spent the past day in was flooded with light, causing him to squint and shield his eyes. In a few moments his eyes adjusted to the light and the flat empty fields of Stows were replaced with the towering sky scrapers of West City.
The size of the buildings wasn’t the only thing different about this place. Even at the train station, there were people everywhere. There must be thousands, Wayne thought, all tightly packed into this tiny area. He had only ever been to West City once before, as a child with his father on a business trip. He could hardly remember back to that time. The few things he did remember were changed and the sprawl of West City had exploded with its population. “Too many humans.” Wayne muttered to himself as he hopped down off of the train car.
Long strides carried him past the engine car. Jameson hung his head out the door and called to Wayne. “Hope you find what you’re lookin’ for Wayne. We leave here in two days, if you’re fancyin’ a ride back to Stows.” Wayne turned, nodded to Jameson, and continued walking. He made his way through the mass of people at the train station and hailed a nearby taxi. Sliding into the backseat of the bright yellow vehicle, the cab driver looked at him through the rearview mirror. “In from out East? Can tell just by the way your dressed. Where to buddy?” His accent was in stark contrast of the people Wayne knew back in Stows.
“Just take me downtown, I can find my way from there.” The cab driver nodded, turning the wheel and speeding off. He tried once to make light conversation with Wayne but it was obvious he wasn’t interested. Gazing out the window, Wayne watched as the concrete and steel jungle of buildings loomed larger as they moved closer to the city. He had no idea where to start, or what to do. The only thing he could remember was the ‘CC’ on the jackets of the thugs he had disposed of at the fairgrounds. He assumed it was for Capsule Corp. Despite the fact it had no offices anywhere near Stows, it was a household name on Earth-II.
The ride lasted fifteen minutes. Wayne told the cabbie to pull over when they reached the business district. He paid the man and stepped out onto the sidewalk. The taxi drove away leaving Wayne looking very much out of place. Without much of any sense of direction, Wayne simple started walking hoping he’d find something to lead him to these people who were causing him so much trouble. More likely, was that someone would probably end up finding him first.

It wasn't often Luo was to be found stumbling and bumbling his way about in a city, but this time around was special in the most peculiar way. Ever since his rescue of a feline zoanthrope in a patchy, worn suit from a squadron of combat androids, he'd been promised payment; payment he'd never received. He had decided as of recently it was time to collect. Patience was never a strong suit of his, and this was especially true when it came to the subject of money. Living a sheltered life among monks who mostly shunned modern luxuries was nothing short of annoying and infuriating, leading to a strong seed of greed being planted within him from a young age. He remembered their trips to towns for trade, and he always found himself jealous at what he considered lavish surroundings. He was going to be rich someday, and being rich meant getting down to business and collecting what was yours after some hard work. Using what little pocket change he'd had left, he had made a quick stop through a couple of bars until he caught the mention of a swindling feline-man con artist and all too happily dropped much of the last of that money finding out his whereabouts. He did indeed skip town in South City after all, and it was time for the shakedown the little sneak probably knew was coming. Luo just hoped he'd make it to the little swindler before someone else came to collect, too. It had been a long trek and an even longer detour from the South, but his wallet was aching something fierce. He hadn't paid for any transportation (as if he could afford to anyhow) and only arrived in the bustling city but a few hours prior. He'd freshly exited one of the sneak's regular hangouts. Luckily, muscle wasn't needed. Karate chopping a pool table in half with your bare hand sent enough of a message that it made people privy to the thought of talking, and now he had an almost sure bet that he was going to bump into the little dork good and soon. Any minute now, in fact. Keeping his sheathed and rope-bound sword concealed beneath his clothing to avoid any hassle, he'd begin making his way toward the train station when he'd finally hit gold. Off in the distance through the crowd, he could see the little twerp heading his way with that ratty business suit, rolling along a big fat pricey luggage container by the handle and wheels behind him that made him look even shorter. Shoulder-bumping his way through the crowd as most of them were heading right toward him, he'd sneak up on the luggage and punt one of the wheels clean off of it with a swift kick sending it rolling into a sewer drain. ''Well howdy. Don't reckon yer ready t' pay up now, are ya?''The cat's legs locked in place, knees shaking and teeth chattering as he turned his head to eye Luo who dwarfed him in size. Clearing his throat and snugly adjusting his bow-tie, he'd throw on his business face. ''Aw, shucks. Did that wheel roll off again? They just don't make 'em like they used to. Leo, buddy! How ya doin'?'' ''Y'know why 'm here, kitty. Cough it up.'' ''It-? Oh, right! Right! The nice wad of cash I promised for that ugly business down South. Hey, buddy. I'd love to cut you a check-'' ''Cash.'' ''Em- cash, but what all I got on me's already invested! I'm gonna pay you back two-fold, just you wait! ''First o' the foremost, m'name's Luo. Second, y'seem ta think I came 'ta talk. Oh, no. Talkin' was taken care of last time. All squared up. Let's go 'fer a walk, nn?'' ''Actually buddy i'm pretty busy today as it happens, so-'' and with that last excuse, Luo's composure broke. He'd kneel down quickly and scoop the cat up by the loop of his belt, carrying him off flailing away. Ducking down a side alley, he would grunt in annoyance as Luo turned him upside down and began shaking the nonsense out of him. A few bills here, a few notes there... Yeah, this was going great already. Up until about the time the slick kitty would yelp. ''H-help! I'm bein' mugged over here!'' ''Aw you jus' go on and shut yer trap, ya slime-ball! Yer almost paid up!''

There were too many humans. It was the only thing that Wayne could think of as he struggled to be polite in the mass of humanity all around him. The foot traffic had increased tenfold the future he had traveled into the business district. I suppose that’s why they call the business district, he thought to himself. It’s too damn busy. After the first fifteen minutes of walking within the herd of people, he learned quickly that please and thank yous weren’t just rare here but that they were extinct. A fellow dressed well-to-do in a fancy business suit had rammed right into him as he talked on his cell phone. Wayne had mumbled an apology, despite the fact it wasn’t his fault but the man simply yelled, “Sod off hick!” and kept moving without as much as a glance. This happened a few more times with different people. A short balding fat man dressed the same, a young courier in tight street clothes, and even a pretty young lady in a power suit all gave him the same treatment despite his courtesies. “For shit’s sake, I understand why Dad never spent more than day here. The audacity of some people’s relatives.” He muttered it under his breath, hardly audible. However, another passerby, this time a man in black jumpsuit with ‘CC’ stitched on the shoulders heard him. “You can right back to the barn inbred.” The man followed this up by hacking a loogie right onto the top of Wayne’s left boot. “You dirty…” Before Wayne could square up with the man, the throng of humans pushed the two would be combatants away. In a few seconds, the man had disappeared and Wayne suddenly realized that this man was clothed the same as those who had caused all the trouble out east. “Son of a…” Before Wayne could finish his latest cuss, he was met with more from those behind him. “Move it you big dumb redneck. People here have places to go!” A firm hand was placed into his back and he shoved forward a bit. Completely fed up, Wayne half-leapt to the side into the street, just as a car whizzed by. He could feel the wind from the vehicle’s passing on his face. “So people can’t even drive right here.” Eyeing both lanes of the road, he sprinted across. He wagered that there were less people on the opposite side of the street. A bit more comfortable now, Wayne began his walk in the vague direction of Capsule Corp, still only guided by one sign he had seen maybe ten blocks ago. It was impossible to make out anything at a distance with all the tall buildings obscuring the view. He could only hope he was the right track. Wayne had also noticed that there were several more Zoanthropes in West City than he had ever seen back home in Stows. He figured in his head that he may have seen three or four out East. That number had quadrupled from being West city only a few hours. The foot traffic began to thin out on the next block, and he had taken to people watching as he walked. Most of the scenery in West City bored him. The flashy signs and advertisements had no real effect on him. Wayne’s simple upbringing saw them merely as distractions. The things advertised were for people who had too much money and too much free time. It was obvious, Wayne already hated the city and most of the folks in it. Just as he crossed another intersection to reach the next block, Wayne found himself watching a cat-like Zoanthrope. This one was dressed in a worn suit that’s best days were assuredly behind it. In tow was one of those luggage carriers with the wheels. There was a great deal of travelers in the city and this seemed like nothing out of the ordinary in a place like West City. That, however, was quickly disproved. A man approached the cat. He slightly shorter than Wayne and wearing a bright red bandanna that was rather hard to miss. The man booted the wheel of the luggage carrier off and Wayne reckoned that it wasn’t a friendly city greeting he wasn’t keen to. A discussion happened that Wayne couldn’t hear. Then the man scooped up the cat and detoured down a side alley. People kept moving the entire time this happened with no one paying any attention to the odd spectacle. Wayne accelerated to a brisk walk and was soon at the corner of the alley which they had disappeared into. Peaking around the corner, he saw the cat man was upturned into the air and literally being shook down. Muggings were common in cities. The cat man yelled for help. Wanye just continued watching as he thought to himself. City folk had been nothing but hostile to Wayne in his short stay. Why would he bother to help this cat man? This wasn’t his problem and it wasn’t his fight. He peaked back around the corner and turned to cross the street when a familiar voice from his memory spoke to him. “If a man asks for help Wayne, you help them.” It was his sister’s voice, loud and clear in his brain. She as the true moral compass of the family and Wayne hesitated cross the street. As he did so, the pedestrian signal flicked off and cars began whizzing by again. Sighing heavily, he turned back to the alley. A few seconds later he was several yards away from the mugging in progress. “I’m not a lawyer or nothin’ but something about this doesn’t look legal.” He squinted in the darker alley at the pair, his lips pressed into a thin horizontal line. He slung his thumbs into his belt loops on his pants and took one more step forward to see better. Cocking his head to the side for the moment he stared at the mugger before his gaze drifted to the mugee and then back to the man in the fancy bandanna. “Or at least I should say.”

Bill by bill and note by note, Luo's owed zeni was being paid in full. The jostled jumble of haphazard cash was spilling out to the ground in quick succession, and he seriously couldn't believe what he was hearing. This little sneak, this slithering slime ball in a business suit was actually trying to rope in someone else to his side? He was actually calling for help? No doubt he was looking for an easy bail out of his current situation only to weasel his way out of payment, just like he did to the half-breed mercenary. After enough hollering and carrying on, Luo would finally become fed up and clap a hand over the man-cat's mouth to shut him up while he finished collecting his payment. He wouldn't be ripped off by this little jerk again, that was for sure. Out of the corner of his eye he could spot random passers-by stopping to take a short glance, but nobody seemed like they wanted to do anything about it. Did this little sneak have a reputation around here, or did people just not care? Maybe they were too concerned with the hustle and bustle of their busy city lives, like most people from the city tended to be. Either way, it didn't matter to the mercenary; he'd sworn that he would get his payment one way or another and here he was getting things done. He'd honestly wished he didn't have to get rough with the almost stranger, but a man's got to eat, right? He would finally let loose his clapped hand to let the swindler speak, though he didn't have a whole lot to say now that he'd been caught in another lie. He was carrying enough to pay Luo in full and then some. Regardless, payment was payment; the little punk was lucky he wasn't cold-hearted enough to charge interest too. No sooner than he had plopped the plump cat down on his rear end and began folding his notes neatly and tucking them away into his coat pocket, he heard someone speaking; turning to look at who it was, he figured maybe someone had heard the cries for help, the deliverance from the awful, terrible responsibility of making good on one's word. Luo was in no mood to have it, though. He would narrow his eyes curiously as he looked down the alley, spotting a particularly... large fella. He was taller than Luo's own modest above-average height, and he looked built as an ox, too. This could be trouble, especially if the guy had been lured in by that little crook. Either way, Luo wasn't about to give up his hard earned money, good intentions or no. ''See there fella,'' Luo began. ''Normally i'd be agreein' with ya, but this here is the conclusion of a business contract. I saved this little punk's skin, and what's he do? I'll tell ya what he does. Splits wit' my promised payment. Man's gotta work to earn his bread, and I sure put in m'work savin' his sorry butt. He's been dodgin' me since South City, th' lil' rascal.'' He was very much aware he probably still sounded like a mugger that felt as if someone rich owed him something, but hey, it was worth a shot. There was probably a one in ten thousand chance the guy would believe him. If not? Well, it wouldn't be the first time he'd have to earn the money. He sure didn't plan on giving it back. Wayne Keeso

He watched as the bills fluttered the ground from the cat’s pockets. Wayne stood motionless as the man, with his thick accent, did his best to explain the situation. It was difficult for him to listen to his story earnestly and with neutral viewpoint, especially after the man had clapped his hand over the cat’s mouth as it cried for help. The man in the bandana was collecting and folding his money as his story ended leaving Wayne with the difficult choice of believing him and letting him walk or not. The latter choice was most likely to involve a physical confrontation, not that Wayne wasn’t familiar with those. It was just that, he had only been in the city for a couple hours and he was already having to decide whether to engage in fisticuffs. “Ya know friend, I have not been here for longer than a few hours and I can see why simple folk, like myself, spend very little time in places like these. Apparently, this whole town is filled with liars, cheats, and just generally very rude people. And here I am, faced with a moral quandary. A quandary I might add, that I should’ve have to deal with on top of the actual reason why I’m even here.” He sighed heavily, his shoulders dropping a bit as he continued. “I’d like to believe you, and let’s say that I do. Fact of the matter is, I’m so damn fed up with these city people that I’m liable to get into a scrap with the next fool I see in the street that looks at me the wrong way. Between you and me, I really couldn’t give a care about this cat fellow and the goings-on between youse two. But since we’re in this predicament and you seem to be well put-together enough to survive a healthy dust-up, let’s just have ourselves a scrap anyway. You can keep your money, I’m not here for that or to be one of these feline’s nine lives. But a decent fight is probably the best way to get me to calm the hell down and find the thugs who tried to murder me and my family.” Wayne unhooked his thumbs from his belt loop and rolled his shoulders back. He was clearly aggravated at this point and most of his speech was spoken much more quickly than normal and with an aggressive tone. This was a far cry from his usual stoic self, but West City and all the preceding events had gotten him so damn riled that he needed to calm down before he went on a tear downtown in the business district. “Anyways, enough beaking.” Wayne relaxed, sinking his and turning his body slightly. He pulled both of his arms up in front of his face in the style of your typical boxer. The fellow would realize that the only way out of this alley was to go through Wayne, so this fight was soon to be unless for some sort of divine intervention. It would seem to Luo that the overly curious, massive stranger he was now presented with and giving an explanation to wasn't in the best of moods this particular day. His tone was increasing in anxiety and aggression as he began to speak quicker. Luo knew the feeling all too well, and was humbled enough to listen to the figure's short rant. As it turned out, he felt very similar to the stranger about the way the day was going. Luo had been raised among monks at a temple stowed away deep into the countryside and despised the city naturally as well; yet here he was, right in the thick of it surrounded by people who annoyed him, a criminal in a cheap suit now hastily fleeing the scene that had caused him so much trouble, and a massive individual looking to vent some frustration with a good old fashioned brawl. In all honesty, most good samaritans would have tried to clean his clock already. The guy was at least respectful enough to note he didn't really care about the squabble. It honestly sounded like he was just sick and tired of being sick and tired of the city, and Luo could relate to that. He wouldn't have been here either if he had the choice between going hungry again or having a hot meal from collecting his money. He was even here on a much more noble sounding business than Luo himself was, too. Apparently he was hunting down some thugs that showed violence toward his family, so it was easy to see why this guy was having such a rotten day. Even if he didn't want to scrap with this guy there was little he could do to avoid it; he was quite literally a wall of meat and muscle blocking the only way out of the alley. A pointless thought, though; Luo's half-saiyan blood was already running warm with the prospect of a good brawl. ''Awright,'' He would begin. ''Can't say I blame ya 'fer lettin' this place work 'yer nerves. I'm no fan m'self. 'Yer respectful enough not 'ta try and deck me 'fer takin' what I was owed, so i'll return th' respect right back. 'Sides, it's been a good minute since I had m'self a good fight.''Luo would then swiftly ease out of his jacket, leaving his rope-bound sword resting inside it before tying it up into a haphazard chunk of fabric and tossing it onto the elevated stairway of a fire escape. Wearing a black sleeveless undershirt beneath, he'd roll his shoulders with an audible crack and loosen up. Tucking his right fist knuckles-up by his waist with his left out in front in a knife-handed, fingers up chop-like position, he'd turn his shoulder toward Wayne and position his feet a small distance apart and turned to their sides. ''Let's have us a good fight, and jus' maybe i'll keep an eye out 'fer those thugs o'yours!''

The man across from him didn’t seem like a bad fellow. In fact, Wayne could have imagined himself in the same predicament he was in now had he chosen a different walk of life. He watched as the man sunk into his stance. Clearly, this man was no slouch when it came to fisticuffs. That established, it wasn’t a fighting stance Wayne had seen out East. Then again, there was a lot here that wasn’t out east and Wayne was quickly coming to realize that. Wayne inhaled and exhaled deeply before nodding to his opponent. He was polite, if anything. He closed the distance between the two moving forwards. He kept his head bobbing to the left and right with both of his hands up, much like a boxer would. Bouncing his head to the left, Wayne’s right arm would extend twice quickly, jabbing towards his opponent’s chin. It was a good way to start the fight and test the waters. For some reason, Wayne felt that this wasn’t going to be like most of the mop-ups back home had been. This would probably be a full-on donnybrook. He smirked as he threw his jabs, that thought comforted Wayne. He’d rather focus on this fight to give him some brief respite from the real task ahead.

If he was going to be entirely honest, Luo found himself surprised. Instead of some crazy out of this world martial arts pose, this guy seemed to enjoy keeping things simple. There was plenty that Luo could respect about that. Opting for a boxer's pose, it was hard for Luo to gauge just how fast or strong the guy was. For all of his muscle and height the guy appeared to be in pretty good shape, and he began to close the distance quick. Readying himself for the first of the attacks as the stranger went on the offensive, a lightning-fast jab slipped right past the half-breed's guard and tagged him across the chin. He noticed the smirk already surfacing on Wayne's face. He must have been feeling a bit better already. Now that he'd eaten a clean punch, he was better able to predict the next. Bringing that knife-hand up, he would slightly redirect the jab as he slipped it and then quickly swipe a thumb across his nose and smirk right back. ''Quicker'n ya look, fella! I'll give ya that!'' Sure, the blow did have a certain sting behind it but it worked pretty damn well in waking him up and getting his head into the fight, forcing him to pay better attention. After his redirect of the second jab, he'd attempt an offensive of his own. Keeping on his feet and keeping the fight grounded, he would advance a few steps by leading with a one-two jab and cross combination before taking a big step forward and striking for the body with both fists together, his right placed just over his left and leaving a small gap between them to try and strike both the chest and stomach at once. Hopefully the power punch would keep this stranger on his toes; Luo hated to disappoint in a good throw-down, after all. He was still surprised how fast this guy was and how hard he could hit with a well-placed jab!

One out of the two of his first blows had connected. They were feeler punches, if anything. He could tell that the first, however, connected with authority. A fighter knows when he has hit flush. In that split second after the first punch, Wayne may have gotten overconfident or this fellow he was fighting just expected was to come as his second jab was redirected and his tinier opponent slipped out of the way. Well, this won’t be much like the dustups back home, Wayne thought to himself. This guy’s actually a fighter. Fair enough.
Maybe he was lucky, maybe it was skill, or maybe it was just the fact that Wayne was a mountain of flesh. The fellow mentioned something about Wayne’s quickness with a smirk. Wayne wasn’t much one for beaking during a fight, he tended to keep his trap shut and just get on with the business. The oddly dressed fellow, at least to Wayne, launched his own assault. The one-two jab combination he threw was easily blocked as Wayne’s arm rose. The jabs slammed harmlessly into his well-muscled forearms. He twisted his body squeezing his forearm to his bicep as the cross battered into his arm. The blows stung a little but didn’t inflict any real physical damage. This boy’s a touch quicker than me. If he ever breaks through my defense…The thought was cut short as Luo quickly closed the distance again and launched both of his fists towards Wayne’s torso. Wayne reacted by sidestepping quickly and turning his body, slipping by the blow. It was obvious that if the attack had landed, it would’ve done some damage. The man’s fighting style was quite unorthodox to what Wayne was used to, but he had weathered the initial flurry of strikes. Seeing that his opponent had overreached a tad with his last strike, Wayne tilted his torso to the side and fired and uppercut towards his exposed jaw. He’d follow this by swinging his right leg back and attempting to place his boot right into the midsection of his opponent. Wayne’s dander was up now.

Not only did this muscle-giant have speed and power in good and equal measure, but apparently he had a hell of a defense too. Luo would keep his cool as his opening one-two would be blunted by a wall of an arm, and he had to mentally admit he was impressed at this guy's reflexes. He'd fought bandits, pirates, combat androids, and lord knows what else this far in his mercenary career but this guy was proving to be something different. Frankly, it got him pretty worked up. He was downright excited to see what this stranger could do. He got that funny feeling again; the one he could never quite explain, but the one that gave the monks he grew up with so much trouble in the training yard and the sparring dojo. When he could feel a good fight and when he could feel a challenge, his blood ran good and hot. The more blows he took and the more mistakes he made leading to them, the more he wanted to continue the fight that caused them. Wayne was proving to be one hell of a fuel source. He watched in surprise as Wayne slipped past his heavy dual-punch, and soon after a powerful uppercut came his way. Lifting his defense in a desperate measure, Luo managed to bring his arms up and deflect the fighter's knuckles down into his chest. The action winded him, but at least he hadn't taken the blow to the jaw. Expecting another punch, he was instead met with a boot to the torso, letting loose a cough of air as he stumbled back a few steps. This guy was gonna get it good, it was only a matter of time! His tail coiled around his waist tightly in excitement, offering a few spastic twitches. As soon as he was able to calm it down, he'd once again try an approach maneuver. Now that he realized kicks were legal in the bout without any fuss, he'd duck and sway forward before coiling a knee in and striking it out to attempt to slam into Wayne's abdomen, same as the kick he'd just received. He'd then slide forward with his leading leg to attempt to trip up Wayne's footwork before driving forward a powerful elbow coming across the jaw!

His opponent took a more evasive approach this time. Wayne kept light on his feet. He had emerged from the first clash nearly unscathed but he knew this wasn’t a trend that was likely to continue. Luo came at him with a knee towards his midsection. He missed it expecting a punch, but he tilted away from the attack slightly while his abdomen muscles coiled tightly. It was a glancing blow but it still connected. Just as regained his composure, the small man struck out with his leg in attempt to set him off balance. It partially worked as Wayne was forced to half-hop up into the air to avoid the trip. He had dropped his guard momentarily while doing so and barely had time to brace for the elbow coming his way. It struck him across the jaw, but maybe some of the power behind was lost in Wayne’s trapezius muscles because while it hurt, it didn’t make him take a hard left turn onto queer street. He hocked a loogey. His spittle was still clear. That was a good sign at least. Sometimes the adrenaline rush numbed what was happening to his body too much. He took a moment to catch his breath before launching another assault. No frills this time, he stepped forward with an overhand right hoping that big fist of his would land somewhere along the man’s head. Regardless of the result, he’d step in close and follow with a left hook aimed to plunge into his opponent’s side.

Now that he'd made some connections, this fight was on for real! He wished the blows would have landed a bit cleaner, but it was still enough it seemed to keep this big guy on his toes. His opponent pointedly hocked a ball of spit to the ground, appearing to glance at it briefly before getting his head back in the fight and coming right back in for another assault. Expecting another jab series to come his way, Luo raised his guard and got somewhat confident when he saw those huge arms start to move. His expression would quickly change however when the massive overhand strike went right over his guard aided by Wayne's height advantage and smoked him clean down and across the top of his head. His head coiled downward from the blow and he grunted from the power behind the strike, his bandanna being peeled off his head and thrown to the ground. This guy's right hand was mean. Dizzied for a moment, his vision would clear just in time to see that following left hook coming in for his body. Taking a retreating step back to allow the punch to meet air if only by inches, he could already feel a welt surfacing on the impact zone on his head, and he started to wonder who had taught this guy how to fight. What with all the rage catering to martial arts, this guy must have been some kind of semi-pro boxer at the very least. For his size, he was deceptively fast and he hit like a truck when he landed clean. Sizing up Wayne's posture, he wouldn't waste any more time. Dashing back into the fray Luo would make his entry by leaping off of his front leg, carrying his back up in a kick where upon landing he would follow suit with the other leg for a quick entry to Wayne's personal space. After he'd gotten there he would follow through with a hard coiled-fingered palm strike to the chest before bursting forward off his back leg, attempting to strike with a burst of speed by using his hip, elbow, and shoulder on his left side for a rushing body blow with a big target zone.

When his looping overhand right connected cleanly, Wayne could tell he’d finally landed a real blow. Had his wrists not been stiffened from years of labor and scrappin’ it might have snapped with the amount of force behind the punch. His hook, however, met only air and Wayne grunted with a bit of disappointment as it passed harmlessly in front of his retreating opponent. By the time he had regained his composure, Luo was readying his counter attack. He watched as his smaller opponent dashed forwards with speed Wayne could only hope to match if he was forty pounds lighter. Wayne crossed his arms in a defensive guard as Luo leaped at him with a kick. It passed just under his guard and struck him in the stomach. It had a real sting to it and before the skin could begin to turn crimson Luo followed up his attack. Wayne pivoted his hips, turning his whole body as the palm strike hammered into the meaty part of his lats. It caused minimal damage and allowed Wayne to gather himself as Luo launched his body towards Wayne. Alert and ready, Wayne placed his giant meat hooks (hands) on Luo and simply redirected the now bandanna-less fighter’s momentum, pushing him to his right as he side stepped out of the way. Boy’s quicker than greased lightning, he thought to himself. After Luo passed him by, he immediately took a step at him to decrease the space between the two fighters. Closing in again, he leaned to his right and fired another uppercut with his left hand towards Luo’s body. Wayne followed with another right hand, this time a cross, right at his jaw line. His right hand hadn’t failed him yet. If ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

Wayne snorted out of his nostrils after he felt both of his previous blows land clean. He knew that he had hurt him with those strikes. Had you been able to see his eyes clearly in that shadowed alley, you would’ve sworn they had turned red. Almost as if one was staring into the eyes of the stud on the cattle farm. Adrenaline pumped into his body and instead of pulling back into a defensive posture, Wayne lashed out again. He stepped forward, nearly lurching as he threw another cross with his right, snapping his hips with his lead punch only to snap them back the other way with a left cross. He couldn’t tell how much Luo had left in him. He seemed a tough bugger. The length of this fight would be determined by how he responded to Wayne’s most recent onslaught.

Luo's tail clenched tight around his body in a panic beneath his clothes as soon as he was redirected and turned just in time to see that uppercut about to connect. It struck him right in the gut with enough force to pop him up off of his feet, causing him to clutch his stomach and stumble back a few steps as he sucked air. Right as he was getting his breath back, the next shot came and he just couldn't switch the position of his arms fast enough to try and soften it. That punch went clean across his jaw, loosing a slightly red-tinged mixture from his mouth. He could taste a little blood, but he'd had worse. His head lashed from the blow, causing him to take a few steps back again as his body was forced to follow the blow's momentum. For a moment he was seeing stars, and he was able to gather his thoughts enough to know that this stranger wasn't going to let up. If he was the boxer Luo thought he was, him dizzy as he was looked like the tape of a finish line. The onslaught was incredible and terrible all at once, and it wasn't even over yet. Another right tagged his chin as the blurry giant made his way back into business range. Stumbling along with this blow as well, he had sense enough to know that another punch was coming. The stranger was pretty keen on chaining those heavy hits together so far, so he had to get it together and fast! He watched a not-so familiar left come right after the third heavy blow, and he righted his footwork in time to bend his knees and duck, slipping forward. Attempting to land an uppercut himself right into the torso coming out of his duck and coil with a good amount of lift, if he managed to pop the giant backward he'd stay right there inside the infighting zone and reel both fists back before letting loose with a machine gun flurry of punches. To finish things off he'd twist quickly and spring off of one leg, bringing the other around in a fierce jumping roundhouse kick.
