A man can only take so much as he helplessly watches everything he loves slowly deteriorate from the outside. Every man hits their boiling point one way or the other, watching as another recklessly endangers those around them without so much as a single iota of regard for what they are doing. For Awamori that point came when the King of Earth-2 opened the intergalactic borders to any and all aliens around the galaxy, inviting the most powerful beings to enter the planet, HIS PLANET, freely for some stupid, meaningless martial arts tournament.
He wanted to commemorate a long standing time of peace, a time of peace that Awamori worked tirelessly to maintain, with possible war. To Awamori Shochu it was as if the King lit a match while being in a room doused with gasoline, it was only a matter of time before things blew up. However, Awamori vowed that he would not sit back idly and allow that to happen. When the King refused to close the borders Awamori took it upon himself to retire from Earth-2's Royal Military. He could not possible find himself being able to stand and protect the man that was putting the planet in danger. There were others that thought like him, though. He definitely was not alone. Contacts had made their way off of Earth-2, since intergalactic travel had opened up completely, and began to scour the galaxy for something very specific that Awamori was after, something that would help him maintain this peace, help them ALL maintain peace.
The sun had began to lower itself over West City, the entire place covered in a beautiful, orange glow. Awamori stood facing the out a large window, from the ceiling to the ground, in his expensive apartment which sat at the top floor of one of the tallest buildings in the city, hands behind him, blue eyes taking in the gorgeous view. "And you would put all this at risk. How dare you call yourself the King of anything, Tsuno." the man thought. He could stare out that window forever but he knew he didn't have a lot of time to waste here. One of his contacts had made it out of the planet a few months ago, when the borders were officially open and Awamori had made his decision. He had found what Awamori was looking for, one of many actually. He had assured Awamori that the day was rapidly approaching that this "weapon" he was after would be in his hands soon enough and the peace and safety of Earth-2 would not be in question. Awamori continued to wait, a stoic, stone cold expression on his face, lips tight, surrounded by a perfectly trimmed goatee.

PING!
Awamori's ears perked up as he heard a ringing sound behind him, coming from his computer desk. He'd give the setting sun one last look before turning his back to it and heading towards where his computer was, taking a seat in front of it. He received an email, hopefully it was the one he was looking for. No one but his contacts knew how to reach him with the email he was currently using, all communication was private and untraceable, they didn't even go by their real names. He'd open the email, which previously were a series of back and forth messages of updates. This one was more promising as he began to read.
The message made Awamori smile, noticing a single attachment on the email. It was finally here, they had done it. His heart felt like it was going to explode out of his chest with excitement, he hadn't felt like this in a long time. He'd open the attachment as the photo popped up on his screen. Awamori nearly choked, eyes going slightly wide at the sight. It was beautiful.
R,
I hope this message finds you well. I apologize greatly for not having gotten back to you after all this time, but after several months we've finally found it. We've excavated the "weapon" and have begun all the necessary preparations. We are pressed for time, so I cannot divulge much in this message, but please make your way to Planet Gokkano as soon as possible.
The future is bright.
Sincerely,
G
A fabled remnant of an ancient war, nearly indestructible with incredible power was at his fingertips. He stared at the lifeless machine's "face" on his screen. It was absolutely breathtaking to him. He could almost feel the power coming from it right through the screen. He would close the file, replying to the email promptly.
Letting the message send Awamori would recline back in his chair. He would be on this planet Gokkano soon enough. What waited him there was relatively unknown to him, but he could find out from files he had taken from the Earth-2 Royal Military offices to help him prepare. His heart was still pounding incredibly hard at the prospect of wielding such power, and not even for those usual selfish reasons that men seek power for. No. Awamori Shochu was determined to protect all of Earth-2 from the reckless, childish nature of King Tsuno and the soon to be invading aliens if it was the last thing he did, and this new "weapon" of his would help seal the deal for sure.
G,
Amazing work. This could not have been done without your help.
The future is bright indeed.
See you soon, my friend.
