Those mighty, Saiyajin arms kept themselves locked around that thick neck and head of the Durian, as tightly as possible. The constriction seemed to be doing its job, but Kiwano was not worn down enough to really feel the impact of that submission maneuver. Instead, the Durian would use Retasu's own trick, firing ki blasts in the form of propulsion cannons and send the duo flying backwards into a rock formation. Slamming against it, the already wounded King of the warrior race loosened his grip, letting out a shout of pain with a flinch once his spine slammed into the stone. Kiwano's quick movements stunned him, still having not considered his speed would be this great with such a bulky form. Physical appearance wasn't everything! Lesson one! The heavy handed strikes slammed into Retasu's body, forcing him to slam farther and farther into the large mountain, which once was a solid formation, and was not quickly gaining a cave-like entrance into it. Sore and tired arms came up to deflect as many of those blows as possible, grunting each time one of them slipped through, as more and more did each time Kiwano attacked. Before he knew it, Kiwano's body was pushing him upwards with a powerful blow, slamming through the structure all the way until Retasu's body reached the top, rising upwards before he was slammed back down in a heap. Like a meteor, the Saiyajin's body caused quite the impact, destroying everything in its path. Every part of his body ached, laying there and nearly completely broken, his armor was all but gone as well as the upper portion of the body suit, revealing a muscular, albeit bruised and bloody, body. "Kchhh! Th-This bastard is tough... Damnit!" Muttering to himself, slowly picking himself up once again. Kiwano's attacks were all high impact, he was going all out. The King was ashamed to admit he was as well, and it didn't seem he was doing as good a job. Ruined gloves wiped a fresh, glistening layer of blood from his mouth, standing on spaghetti legs.
He sure as hell didn't look like a King. That notion gave way to an anger inside of him slowly beginning to bubble up. This was an embarrassment, and he was on the verge of letting his people down. He couldn't allow this Durian, or any of those N-PTO scum to step foot on Daikondu. If only the planet was united.
"I guess it's time... I start taking you seriously, huh?" Still, the King found the time to continue to banter, once again, manipulating his ki to form an outwards source of energy as tiny pieces of rock and rubble began to shake and levitate all around him. Eyes narrowed intently on Kiwano, baring blood stained teeth. "You were pretty tough before, let's see how you handle this now, though. Haaaaaaaaaa!!!" In an explosion of energy, the King would be covered in a blue flame, aiming to use as much energy as possible! The sudden rush of power slightly invigorated Retasu, feeling a second wind coming! Even if Kiwano were to counter attack now, he had to make sure he had pooled up enough energy to counter that counter, even harder!

He'd managed to successfully shake the little punk off of his back, and not a moment too soon. Capitalizing on his new freedom, he'd quickly seize a renewed initiative to pummel the King once again. The fire in his veins urged his belief that this punishing assault was going to be the last! There was no way he was going to get up from this one! He felt the monkey's defenses begin to crumble as he steadily smashed him through the stone surface, where he then gave immediate pursuit and followed up with a powerful finishing grapple hold. To his amazement, he actually managed to get back to his feet again; not very well this time, but a fact regardless. Standing shakily, the Durian wasn't quite sure how to process the information. He'd been beating the tar out of him with assault after assault, and this guy just absolutely refused to stay down! Feeling impressed and frustrated in equal measure, he knew that the King couldn't take much more. He just had to keep up this momentum, and it was only a matter of time. Cursing the Durian, the King would seem to alight with a second rush of stamina. This already looked like it was going to be a problem. The environment around them began to shift and respond to the King's most likely growing energy. With no way to sense him outside of his Scouter and with the tool discarded, he had to get creative to tell when a storm was coming. Making another boast and a loud punctuating shout, the Durian would raise his fists to block the initial onslaught of rubble and dust tossed his way from the released energy. He was planning something big, and Kiwano was going to need to stop it fast. ''Oh no ya don't!'' Charging forward in a hurried attempt to cut short whatever was coming, he'd first lash forward with a powerful right hook, attempting to give the King a crushing tag across the chin. Before pulling his hand back, he'd attempt to grip him by the neck and lift him high before slamming him down, dragging him across the wasteland floor, and tossing him into the sky. Grounding himself, he'd then summon up his own bronze energy and aim high with both palms out, letting loose a machine-gun torrent of energy blasts to try and keep the King suppressed and pressured. ''Tryin' to finish this in one go, are ya!? We'll see about that!''

Things were getting heated, and the King in the North could sense the tides of this battle continuing to shift, and to shift in Kiwano's favor. Retasu's own body was nearly broken, as his breath was ragged, struggling greatly to fill his lungs with air as he continued to try to focus all that energy in and around his body for as long as possible. His charcoal colored eyes caught the Durian rushing for him, his heart skipped a beat in a bit of panic, feeling a lump in his throat as bared teeth were gnashed together tightly. "Damnit! I need more time!" Were the only thoughts he could process before a heavy, thick right hook shot up and slammed directly into the Saiyajin's face, knocking him back suddenly, though caught as he felt his body dragged across the wasteland and tossed upwards after another hefty slam. Soaring in the sky, the King's flinched expression showed just show much pain he was in, that blue aura of ki energy beginning to sputter and spasm around his body as he began to lose some sense of strength now. He needed to make sure this attack hit, and with enough force to send this Durian straight to Hell!
As those bronze bullets of energy came upwards in the sky towards Retasu, both of his own palms were aimed directly down at Kiwano, another large sphere of ki formed just inches away from his ruined gloves. "THIS IS IT! HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!" Another mighty war cry erupted forward, as a beam of ki was fired off once again, larger than the other one in size as Retasu was at least able to charge some of his energy into it instead of just firing it directly from the hip, so to say. It still was painful to do, he felt all of his energy nearly leaving his body with that, using his own life force as a weapon was a common thing for his people, and other high powered fighters like Retasu, and the Durian for that matter, but in the shape that he was in, he would not be able to do much more.
The head of that energy wave screamed its way down to Kiwano, his own machine gun blasts of energy either pelted Retasu, causing small detonations around his body or exploded against the energy wave, the weaker ones simply swallowed up by it. He was hoping his "ace" attack would actually get the job down this time!

For the bout so far, it seemed the Durian's strategy had been serving him pretty well. A bruising, punishing offense was certainly keeping this King on his toes. All he had to focus on was carrying this momentum. He had his people's famed toughness to thank for that; so long as he could endure the King's counter-assaults, he could keep up the pressure just fine! His close-combat assault followed by his volley of energy shots was rewarded with the King taking some punishing damage, but it didn't stop him from weaving his energy into his trump card once again. With a shout, the Saiyan unleashed that energy cannon once again. His durability exhausted from tanking the earlier shot, he knew deep down this was going to hurt much more even if he could see his opponent was becoming exhausted. As the cannon rocketed down from the sky right to Kiwano's position, he'd cross his arms in front of his torso. It was moving too quickly to dodge, so he took the only option he had left. The beam slammed into his arms, causing his boots to punch holes into the dirt as he was forced downward. Leaning backward, he would spring away from the blast zone, but still suffered the direct impact. The explosion would rocket him backward, causing him to bounce and skid across the soil. His body dug a trench, his senses dulled from the burning, stinging pain. With a growl, he would rise from his prone position quickly and get his head back in the game. Catching his breath raggedly, his stance would falter for but a moment as he regained his composure. He could feel the wounds the shot left on his body, but he couldn't let it drag him down! His adrenaline was still pumping, and he was going to WIN!
Using the cover of the explosion's kicked up debris as a smokescreen, the Durian would utilize high speed movement to vanish from sight, reappearing in a powerful elbow drop above the King! Aiming to strike between his shoulder blades, if he found success in launching him toward the ground he would then quickly summon a bronze orb of energy into his hand and rocket down after him. Rearing his hand back, he would then slam it into the Saiyan's back right on impact with the ground to cause a melee range explosion of energy, releasing a small dome of bronze light on impact!

The powerful beam of ki energy slammed into the Durian, knocking him backwards and off balance, but Retasu knew it was not enough to defeat Kiwano out right. Both of them were tired and hurting, this battle was going at full tilt right from the beginning leaving neither of them any chance to really recuperate. His breathing was heavy and ragged, nearly wheezing at this point as he took a strained gulp, throat dry and barely gaining any relief. Pitch black eyes attempted to scan the destruction below, but they went wide as the hair on the back of his neck stood up on end. The slugger had ended up behind him, slamming an elbow between the shoulder blades, forcing the Northern King to shout out loudly in pain, sending spiraling out of control back towards the ground. For good measure, that orb of ki found his body, creating a bronze dome of destruction around him, sending him drilling into the ground as havoc ensued around him. As the dust settled, Retasu was once again down, twitching back to life as he began the slow climb to his feet, slightly hunched over with his back to the Durian. A bloody, bare forearm wiped at his mouth. He couldn't help but smirk at this point, his blood still running hot with excitement. "You're not so bad yourself... but I'm still going to make you regret ever coming to my planet, you stinking pile of trash."
In a flash of energy, mustering whatever he could to keep himself energized, the Saiyajin burst into the air once more to take Kiwano head on. Spinning in mid flight to face him, baring a bloody and bruised facade but an expression that was just as determined as the beginning of this fight! The King would let heavy fists fly, exchanging them with the Durian if he could to further exhaust him out and find any more weaknesses in his defense. The man was huge, and the sooner his defense gave out the easier it would be for Retasu to land a deciding blow. Fists continued to fly, should Kiwano use his own big arms to deflect what he could, at this point Retasu was just trying to stretch things out in a way that he would benefit while Kiwano would suffer. If he could, a right fist with a bit more striking power behind it would attempt to find its way through Kiwano's defenses and smash directly into his cheek.

There was no way the King could take much more after all of that! The Durian knew he was grinding him down, slowly but surely, and that it was all a matter of time before he claimed victory. He was going to get quite a talking to by the brass for being so brash and deciding to launch his little hostage situation, but they needed results. With each passing day, they were running out of time. Soon, Daikondu would be united if they didn't do something about it. Kiwano fully intended on being that ''something''. Ragged as the King looked, he still made it very clear he was going to fight on. The guy had guts, but that was almost the only thing the Durian could respect about him. He was offered a compliment which was very quickly followed by an insult. Opting to save his breath and let his fury and frustration speak through his frenzied fists, it was no time at all before it was go time yet again. The King launched himself at Kiwano, attempting to lock him into a mid-air battle of high speed strikes. Striking with renewed fervor, this time around Kiwano quickly found his defenses coming up short. While at first his large arms maintained a steady guard, with each volley of punches his defenses began to break. Eventually, his guard was broken and tossed aside and his torso began to take the majority of the impact behind those punches, which was then closely followed by a heavy right handed punch smashing right into his cheek and pushing his face in. Growling against the impact as his lights were momentarily stirred, he knew he had to refocus fast or he was going to be in some real trouble. Snarling, he'd peel his face away from the aftermath of the blow, swinging in with a heavy handed chop from the left aiming for just under Retasu's jawbone! ''Why ya little varmint!''Following the heavy blow in short order would be a volley of sumo palm strikes, the last of which attempted to strike the King between his chest and stomach to push as much air out of him as possible. Finally, the Durian would dart downward in a thick bronze aura, attempting to catch one of the Saiyan's legs in a tight clutch as he rocketed toward the ground. Upon reaching the soil once again he'd attempt to swing him like a big club straight into the dirt!

With his intended strike hitting flush against that big cheek, Retasu could only hope to continue his onslaught and maintain superiority in the fight. He could feel his own energy and stamina depleting rapidly at this point, he once again needed it to end quickly. However, before a follow up could occur from his strike, Kiwano drove his left hand under Retasu's own jaw, snapping his head backwards suddenly from the force, causing the Northern King to stagger backwards while clutching the afflicted area. He felt it come out of place, quickly popping it back in with a grimace and slight rush of blood coming into his mouth. Scowling, he'd pool it up within his cheek before spitting it off to the side in a mixture of blood and saliva. He knew the Durian would come and waited. Rushing towards him, as the Saiyajin did his best to deflect as many of the palm strikes to his body as possible. His own arms and hands working at lightning fast speeds, a few of them breaking his guard, one of them smashing the chest plate of his armor to bits, crumbling to the ground as he hunched over some. It was then that is leg was grabbed, clutched tightly and his entire body swung like a club without warning. His body swinging in the air and slamming into the ground with a gargantuan sounding thud, spider webbing the area around the impact zone instantly. They were destroying these wastelands, just the two of them. And it wasn't over just yet. Rolling out of that clutch, Retasu freed himself. His body continued to roll backwards before springing up to a stand, but leaving no time for the Durian to either follow up or defend himself. Gliding just inches above the ground, Retasu aimed to drive an extended knee directly into Kiwano's own armor, right in the middle of his chest to return the favor and render it to nothing but crumbling bits. Should he be able to drive that knee flush, and force the air out of his opponent, Retasu's right arm swung upwards. "LET'S SEE IF YOUR SKULLS ARE REALLY ALL THAT THICK! HYAAAA!!!" His elbow aimed right onto that spiked crown of Kiwano's, driving it with as much force as he could muster directly down onto it.

As soon as that powerful chop landed flush and snapped the Saiyan's head back, he knew he'd made the right call on his mix-up of moves. His flurry of palm strikes hardened by reinforced Durian bone crushed his armored chest plate to bits, bringing the heavyweight warrior wrestler satisfaction that in that moment probably couldn't have been matched by anything else! He clutched that leg and heaved him into the ground, watching the earth give way to his fury! Surprisingly, the Saiyan had found within himself another second wind; forcing himself into a surprisingly quick recovery roll and bringing himself back onto his feet, he didn't leave the Durian much time to shut him down. Instead, he would focus and wait. Slamming his fist down into the dirt in his now-coined Muscle Buster stance from earlier, the other fist coiled in tight and knuckles-up by his hip, the quick maneuver served to put just enough distance between that knee and his body to sap away a good deal of its force. The knee still connected, but not with the impact the King had hoped it was going to. The King's arm rocketed upwards, attempting to drive his elbow into the Durian's skull with a taunt! Had he gone mad from his thrashing!? The elbow sailed into the spiky crown of his head, causing Kiwano to freeze and stare deadpan into the King's face with a smirk. He even rolled his head a few times to see just how much it soaked in. ''Y'know, pardner. That's a mighty fine idea! LET'S SEE!'' With the Saiyan's arm tied up by being buried into the Durian's skull-plate, he'd lurch forward and spring off of his feet to try and smash that ridiculously thick skull straight into Retasu's nose! If he'd succeed in stunning him, he'd make a quick spring off of his downward fist and right leg to vanish from view before appearing behind the King! He'd then reach forward, attempting to get a tight clutch on his foe's waist. ''Muscle Buster Special!'' He'd heave the King upwards before tucking into a series of tight backward rolls through the air to build momentum, before allowing them both to sail back toward the ground. Coming out of the roll was the King first, with Kiwano attempting to unleash a modified german suplex! ''CANNONBALL SUPLEX!''

When his strike to the skull did absolutely nothing all Retasu could do was stare, wide eyed, at the Durian's unmoved composure. It was like the attack did absolutely nothing to that massive dome. It was impossible! Though, in actuality, Retasu's strikes felt like they were losing power behind them, while he body began to feel like a boulder. He was barely able to stand at this point and Kiwano was going to ensure that he was bound to feel endlessly worse, still.
A fierce headbutt to the face caused Retasu's own head to snap back with a flinch and groan, feeling the blood spurt out from his nostrils almost instantly, it was probably broken or something close to it. Grabbing his face for only a moment, he was grabbed from behind and brought upwards with several flips, sent crashing down onto the back of his head and neck with that vicious backwards suplex. The force was so great, that Retasu's body came rolling and flipping out of Kiwano's clutches, coming to a stop against a pile of rocks with a thud. It took the King a moment to recover, using those pile of rocks as support, standing up on legs that now felt like wet noodles holding up the weight of the world. His back was turned to Kiwano, his nose having stopped bleeding for now. "Tch'...! Seems like... the only thing worthwhile about you is the fact that your skull can take a hit." He slowly turned towards the Durian, a little smirk on his bruised, battered and cut face. "But is it harder than that of a Saiyajin?" He tapped his own head, mockingly in a way, with a finger.
It was true, Saiyajin bone structure was pretty durable. More so than most humanoid species, specifically their thick skulls. Though, was it anything in comparison to a Durian? His pride was being pained with this entire bout, more so that the Durian completely batted his attempt at splitting that skull away as if he was nothing. He'd make him regret that. Letting out a roar, whatever was left of his energy flared up around him, sending the King flying towards his opponent once more.
Before he could reach Kiwano, his own head reared back dramatically before spiking it forward, attempting to simply smash his forehead directly into the Durian's own face with a vicious headbutt! It wasn't the most tactful move, or the most extravagant. Though, when the going got tough, one needed to do anything they could to win, even pulling out the most primitive means of fighting to do so.

The headbutt used to setup his devastating grapple was successful, allowing Kiwano to quickly reposition and get a tight hold on his opponent. That devastating finesse-filled suplex seemed to have done quite a number on the King, too! By the looks of things, he was beginning to find it difficult to stand by his own two feet alone. The King would slowly turn towards the Durian, still wearing that annoying smirk. What was with this guy? Oh...wait a minute. Kiwano was starting to understand. This had to have started to become about pride, didn't it? Almost every single Saiya-jin Kiwano had beaten into the dirt to get as strong as he was always belly-ached about the same thing when they were about to lose. They were a warrior race, and they were better than any other species out there, and blah, blah blah! He'd proved them all wrong, one after another, and the King was about to fare no differently! The only place these uppity monkeys belonged was beneath the boot of the NPTO's superiority! While at first he'd been sent to this dust-ball merely for recon, somewhere along the way he'd gotten the itch to remind them of that little fact. The King made a taunting quip, looking to test his skull against Kiwano's. ''Hah! I think ya've taken one or two too many to the head there, pardner.'' He made a mocking question, pondering if a Saiyan's skull was tougher than a Durian's. This made Kiwano think a bit. If that's what he was planning on, all he would have to do is soak the hit, just like last time. Attacking his skull rarely did anyone any good. In fact, it tended to place his opponents right inside his range where he wanted them to be so he could toss them around like toys. He prepared himself for the attack, eyeing the King soaring his way in. Looking to meet him with a headbutt of his own, the King's surprising speed beat him to the punch. With a sharp crackkk! the Durian felt his nose give way, knocked crooked and leaking trails of purple blood. Losing his footing, he stumbled backward before planting them in the dirt, his head still snapped back as he stared up at the sky. His teeth began to grind, his bronze aura beginning to kick up around his feet in a slow swirl. How? How could this little maggot still have so much left in the tank!? Kiwano's refusal to know defeat against this monkey was beginning to surface full force! His second wind had arrived, his bronze aura flaring to life. Bursting forward before braking into a high-speed spin, adding ferocious momentum to his already incredible mass, he'd take a technique passed down through generations of the Force as his way back in to the fight! A high-speed spin to disguise one's movements, ending in one of several crushing attacks at a snap! Coming out of the spin, his left elbow would lash at Retasu's cheek, followed by an uppercut thrown to his chin. If he succeeded in popping him into the air, those powerful legs would boom forward into a diving headbutt; he was aiming that spiky, powerful skull to drill right into the King's torso like a big spiky bowling ball! ''I'll CRUSH YOU FOR THAT!''

He would have relished more in his successful attack had it not felt like his skull had just split open himself. The Durian's cerebral structure was just that powerful, enough to withstand the impact from a Saiyajin skull no less. Though, he did draw blood, nearly rearranging Kiwano's nose from that headbutt, sending the burly being teetering backwards. Retasu's feet remained planted firmly, watching as Kiwano gained his footing back and came barreling in. His body tensed up, arms in a defensive position to do what he could to deflect the incoming attacks. The only problem was that his body felt like a sack of bricks, weighing him down completely and sore as all hell. Then the first strike came, smacking against his cheek before an uppercut nailed him under his chin, launching him into the sky. Retasu let his body fly up freely, but having enough sense that he could actually HEAR the Durian's body rocketing up towards him for the final blow. Kiwano's skull slammed into Retasu's body, but his original target was missed. Instead of his exposed midsection, Kiwano slammed that skull into the bottom of Retasu's boots, having flipping backwards in the air at the last moment, thrusting both of them directly into the Durian's face. Those spikes hurt like hell, but he was able to deal some damage while deterring some of his own to boot. It also gave him some space between them, knocking Retasu up higher in the air as he aimed both palms down at Kiwano for the third time. "LET'S SEE YOU DODGE THIS IN THE AIR! HAAAAA!!!" And for the third time, that gigantic pillar of energy was aimed right at Kiwano's body, firing from his open palms. The Saiyajin King in the North continued to go beyond his limits, using whatever ounce of energy he could to keep the Durian at bay. If the energy wave should hit, much like last time, it was intended to swallow up Kiwano completely, but unlike the last time he did not have the ground beneath his feet to change footing. He was hoping that being airborne would give his opponent less options to make it out alive.

His one-two combination had landed flush, but the King found his sense in time to see that headbutt coming. Having lifted his feet and springing off of it to create some distance, Kiwano realize just a few moments too late what the King was up to. He was beginning to immediately recognize that posture; the one the monkey took when he was going to fire that big cannon that hurt like a son of a gun, and there it was again. This time, however, the Durian found himself with no ground to stand on to help receive it. He was a sitting duck in the air, with no time to move. The Saiyan taunted before firing that huge cannon for the third time. Without anything to brace against, it tossed Kiwano's limbs away from his torso as he almost literally ate the huge blast of energy. Suffocated by the pressure of the King's energy, he couldn't even let loose a pained growl or yell. The beam tackled him from the sky and carried him straight into the dirt, where he made a colossal impact with the ground. He was right at ground zero for the impact's explosion, blowing gashes into his NPTO armor and covering his skin in a myriad of burns. For a few moments, he would lie still and make sure he was still breathing. Wobbling to his feet with one eye closed, he'd heave ragged breaths as he began to think to himself. He couldn't handle many more of those. It was past time to finish this fight, and that's exactly what he planned on doing. Summoning forth his deepest reserves of energy, the Durian let loose a booming, echoing battle cry. His energy reading would spike jaggedly as his bronze cloak of an aura sent the area around him alight with its glow, roaring like defiant fire. He'd broken his personal limits many times before, but this time was different; there was too much riding on his victory for him to possibly accept the shame of a loss! There was too much at stake! Arms drawn to his sides and his fists clenched, he'd end his rallying cry with a larger ''standing'' aura than before. He'd locked it in. With a stern stare coming from his battle-broken figure, he'd grit his teeth and rocket forward back into the fray, the place he best knew as home. Upon arrival, he'd launch into a series of heavy-handed palm strikes and chops to attempt to bully his way straight through whatever defense Retasu would try to muster. Should he have succeeded, he would make a quick lashing grab for one of the Saiyan's arms to reel him in, then clothesline him promptly and viciously with a mighty lariat! ''I've had about enough outta you! I'm gonna grind ya into the DIRT!''

Retasu's breathing continued to be heavy and strained, holding his smoking hands out still as the beam died down, having swallowed up the Durian and pushing him back down into the earth. He took a gulp, rolling his neck somewhat to work out the kinks in them. It wouldn't help much, he could feel his body giving up. Just staying afloat in the air was a huge strain on his body and stamina. Lowering his arms finally he'd watch Kiwano finally get back up, nearly snarling in aggravation. Like the vast majority of his people he enjoyed a fight, one that would push him to his limits, but this was getting old, especially when he was giving everything he had in an attempt to put the alien out of the fight. "Just stay down, you freak! What the hell is he made out of?! No matter what I do he---" His mind was cut off by the sudden feeling pressure coming up to meet him. Retasu wasn't adept at reading or feeling ki, unable to pinpoint an opponent's power without the use of a scouter, but something touched him just then, forcing the hairs on the back of his neck to rise. Something wasn't right about the Durian, or in the very least he was much different than before.
In a flash Kiwano came up to meet him, pummeling the Northern King with strikes once more, unable to completely deflect them properly at all, his body and face were pelted by those strikes. Feeling his arm grabbed and unable to react in time, that gigantic arm slammed into Retasu's throat, choking him instantly as his body flipped in mid air and began to plummet like a stone back down to the ground. Both hands gripped his neck tightly, unable to swallow or take a breath for several moments before a gagging gasp of air erupted into his lungs, eyes nearly bulging out of his head. It made him grimace, and this time he did snarl. Before his body could crash into the ground, Retasu's body changed position so his feet would slam into it instead, landing in a semi-crouch, a somewhat cleaner landing than would could have been.
He barely had nothing left, his mind racing on what to do next. His body tensed up as both palms held onto energy being collected into them. His eyes went upwards to Kiwano once again. "Keep it up, Durian! You might actually still have a chance!" Still, that Saiyajin pride oozed within him, his words remaining confident even in his nearly beaten state. Both arms, feeling as heavy as ever, would pump out as many blasts of ki energy as he could muster, firing them off and upwards at the Durian in a machine gun fashion. Retasu's feet went on the move as well, running and hopping in different directions as he did this, in an effort to throw Kiwano off his guard, having to pay attention to not only Retasu's constant ki blasts peppering into his body, but where the Northern King would actually end up next as well for a counter attack.
He was buying time, but with each passing moment Retasu's victory slipped farther away as his energy and stamina continued to deplete.

The Durian would growl and grimace, exerting extreme effort as he batted the cocky Saiyan around. Just how much more could this punk of a King take!? Victory was in his grasp. He could feel it, down to his very core! The Lariat struck like a bullet train, very nearly knocking the King right on his haunches. He had managed to recover at the last second, and suddenly he had opted to switch tactics. The Durian was no stranger to the machinations of the battlefield; he had him hurt, and now it was just a matter of chasing him down and finishing him off! Wait. Maybe that was precisely what the Saiyan wanted him to do? He had gone from charging in and slugging it out eagerly to backing off and loosing a machine gun volley of energy bolts that didn't seem like they had any signs of stopping soon. While at first, the Durian began to give chase, he watched as his opponent quickly shifted his position over and over while he kept up the torrent. Many of the blasts slammed into him, and it took all of his endurance to weather the storm. He slowly and painfully inched forward, but he was taking more damage than what was worth it. He had to do something and fast. Lifting both arms out in front of himself, an orb of energy would spring to life between them before quickly swelling up and soaking the majority of the blasts. He still couldn't move, however. Flooding it with a portion of what energy he had remaining, he'd fire it like siege's battering ram straight through the middle. His entire body ached and was wracked with stinging pain. This fight was close to its conclusion, and he couldn't let the King get the better of him now. He'd worked too hard to get this far, and refused to let all of his hard work be for nothing! Inside the ring or out, he was a fighter of the highest caliber! Speeding along behind that orb as it quickly began to lose punch from all of the soaked up energy blasts, the Durian would take to the air in a mighty leap from behind it upon approaching Retasu, then quickly vanish from sight with high speed movement. He would reappear at the King's flank like a certified pain train, aiming to slam into him with his shoulder and push him straight into what remained of the orb. If he managed to bounce him off of it and back toward his heavyweight self, he would attempt to take his legs out with a powerful sweeping chop, and then stomp him into the dirt to hold him down! ''All that tough talk an' ya resort to runnin' from me! Don't think ya got me fooled, varmint!''

His volleys never ceased, exploding on impact against the Durian's body before he decided to inflate an energy sphere of his own, treating it like a makeshift shield as it ballooned up in size. The blasts continued, though, Retasu moving around Kiwano to try to get a better angle and continue his onslaught directly, but at some point the deflective orb became too large for him to do that. "Tch! You think you're so clever, then? Let's see if you can stop this!" The machine gun-like blasts of ki ceased, only for Retasu to rear back his right arm, clutching a single orb of ki within it, letting it grow larger in size as Kiwano's own was fired, heading straight for him. "EAT THI--!" Retasu's tired eyes went wide, watching as Kiwano lept upwards from behind the large blast, before ending up behind him and slamming a large shoulder directly into Retasu's body.
It forced the Saiyajin to drop his charged attack, toppling forward into that oncoming blast. His body hugged it, flinching as he expected it to detonate. When it did, his body was launched backwards then, back to where he was and a waiting Kiwano. Dropped to the ground by his legs, his back smacked directly onto the dead earth before a boot slammed maliciously into his solar plexus, roaring out in pain as all of the Durian's massive weight crushed under him with that one foot. "GAH!!" A mixture of blood and spit exploded from his mouth, hands clutching onto his ankle tightly, attempting to remove it from his chest. However he was pinned, without much option to move otherwise.
He could barely breathe, flinching from the pain as well as straining to breathe. It was then that he'd force the last bit of air out of his body by tucking his legs before shooting them out in the direction of the one foot not buried into his abdomen, attempting to knock the Durian off of him and free himself in the very least, taking in a huge gasp of air as he rolled away to safety. Retasu came up to one knee, arms cradling his crushed stomach with a grimace. "Running from you? Running from you?!" The thought sent waves of anger through Retasu's very core, forcing himself to come to an unbalanced stand as blood stained teeth gnashed together and were made visible to the Durian. "I am a Saiyajin, the KING OF ALL SAIYAJIN! RUNNING FROM BATTLE IS NEVER AN OPTION! HAAAA!!!" His own mighty war cry echoed out, flaring out whatever energy he had left to charge right for Kiwano.
A right arm swung forward, aiming to slam into Kiwano's cheek and send him backwards before his body vanished behind him. Retasu was on his back, kicking both legs upwards into Kiwano's back in an attempt to give him into the air some before kipping up to his feet, aiming both palms upwards at his target once more. "This is all I have left.... Tch! Just be gone, you piece of garbage!" Retasu's mind raced as sweat poured down his face, firing off another impressive wave of ki, once again attempting to take out Kiwano with his signature attack!
