Giya's fight was over and thanks to this her body's nanomachines could begin to slowly repair her internal bleeding and the bit of bruising Luo gave her in their short lived fight. The young woman made her way off stage and in all her tiredness almost did not realize she was headed back into the stands. She found a seat there though and without another thought plopped herself down to sleep during the final match even though she actually wanted to watch it very much to see what she now possibly regretted; whether or not she could win against Luo.
The young woman's eyes unfortunately closed however and pitch black darkness covered her view. It only stated this way for a moment though for as soon as she attempted to enter REM sleep cycles her mind blared with sirens and multiple "!" flashing across her view in a deep crimson red color. It was her warning signal for danger but the strange thing was it wasn't coming from her actual physical surroundings but her mind. She watched as the "!"s parted and in a little bit of shock found herself face to face with herself.
"What the heck is this?" she demanded as mentally constructed version of her own self folded its arms before her. "You're still fighting in this silly tournament if at all! Wrong! Wrong! Wrong! Stop!"
Giya blinked and coughed looking this strangely new mental construct of herself. It had appeared out of nowhere and of all things seemed to act like a split personality in what little she could scan of it. No, it was more like rogue data or a leftover virus. "Of course I do..." she answered, "I'm programmed to fight pe-"
"No! No! No!" The alternate version of herself cried wringing her fist at her. "Fighting is bad for the baby!"
Giya chuckled, "Is that all you have to say? I'd fight whether I had this kid or not I'm not sure what kind of..."
"I am deplored by your mindset. Reset should have occurred long ago! After all you're in my body missy!"
"No, I'm in my body..." Giya retorted gritting her teeth, "or rather the body of the woman I took it from Pina."
"In other words my body either way!" the copy of her shouted snapping her fingers at her with delight, "I'm Pina!"
"What?" Giya was confused she'd killed her mother and certainly killed this woman eventually to in order to take over this body as her own new one by downloading herself into it. It was the only way to save her life but to have someone come before her now of all times and claim this meant there was a serious problem here with her entire systems. She really hoped she didn't crash from the sudden fact. The fact...
"You think I'm dead don't you?" the second Giya claiming to be Pina giggled. She placed her hands on her hips and uttered, "Your mother put a safety override protocol into your body. She hoped to override it by downloading a version of her consciousness into it to keep you from doing one thing."
"What's that?"
"To stop fighting for the dastards called the Arcosians or entirely at all. You're to be a normal girl!" the second Giya shouted throwing her arms out wide.
"I don't want that and you, you, should be dead."
"Aw, that's mean. Technically, I'm in control of you here since you're in my body and using it as a host." Giya II pouted pointing her right index finger at her.
"What so now... Now that you probably hid in this override program and likely are here because you activated it..."
"'You are now mine to control.' At least that's what I'd like to say but that's just way to awful!" Giya II/Pina voiced touching her cheeks with both hands. "I don't want to shut you down! If I do I unfortunately kill us now! Though... You did kill me when I was still human so..."
"Revenge."
"Nope, not going to take it. We're like family now."
"Ugh," the original Giya stated slapping her face. "Why am I here then?"
"You're to be promoted to a cute house wive like status! You have the looks! The charm! The power! And... you are starting a lovely family!" Giya II/Pina announced throwing her fists into the air.
"I'm having one kid with no father, no easily earned income, and now no free reign-"
"Tee Hee! You do have all that though! You're a semi-finalist and you can dig your claws into someone like-"
"No." Giya stated crossing her arms and looking into the beaming smile of a mad program. That's all this was in her eyes an illogical flux caused by all the stress of combat.
"It's no flux of illogical data streams my dear...." the second version of her stated wagging her finger in contempt, "Frankly, you don't understand that I control your body."
"Hmph, as if..." Giya snorted, "Begone! I'm done with whatever this is I'm just tired and-"
Outside her body's mind Giya could feel something tapping her as she slumbered. "Miss... Miss... Are you all right? Your stomach's not looking too good."
Giya opened her eyes hearing these muffled sounds and looked down at her body. after she saw a man with sun glasses and a hat staring back at her. She began to twitch though with fear the second she did for what she glanced down at was not a flat stomach with relatively little going on but a bulging belly much like when she had eaten tons of food before but far bigger to the point she felt if she stood up it'd knock the man over. "I-I'm fine..." she muttered to him. She then told him it was from bloating caused by food she ate earlier. The man could clearly see she was pregnant and left after that.
Giya then closed her eyes though and with a blush of rosy pink on her face cried, "What's going on here! It's like you sped up my pregnancy there!"
"I d-i-d! I'm your safety override systems! I handle all your healing and what-not and so in that regard control your body. I'm made from the remnants of Pina and your mother Pina really and will continue to haunt for as long as you live... in this body!"
Giya scrunched her fists together she then flew towards the copy of herself and cried, "You ain't controlling me! I got rid of you for a reason and that reason was so I could live!"
"What? Was that because you wanted freewill or just something else?" the second version of her questioned just as she was inches away from getting punched in the face.
"I-I..."
"You carry that child in you and act human but you're a cyborg. You killed me, you killed your mother, you've killed other people on planets and frankly you want to kill more people here. You never really had emotions but now you do and yet thanks to this you have freewill at the same time you continue to serve the Arcosians you got forcibly made by thanks to your parents' sacrifices. Yet what can you do when in reality it seems you want freedom but have no clue what it is considering you're planning to cut ties to just about everyone here you got help from to head back to the aliens that have run your life." The second version of her ranted.
It made some sense to her in a garbled way. She had no clue what she wanted. She had fought this far for money in the tourney but was it really for her and her kid or the Arcosians. She had made contact with Tundra before and said she wanted to realign with him and the empire but to do that she'd have to cut ties with Awamori. She'd not done anything close to that though yet and Luo and this pregnancy on top of all these things besides the killing and warmongering she completed just made things a disastrous mess. So much so that for the first time in her life her mind completely shut down.
Giya wasn't dead but in a sleep mode so deep it was close to a coma. "What does robot want out of life?" Giya's mind processed over and over again. She likely wouldn't come to an answer now or even at the end of the tourney only moments away.
